It’s interesting that Daniels’ gesticulating emotion through the articulation limitations of the costume became a central part of the character’s seeming reticent attitude towards taking any rash actions. Some may have rejected such a stage limitation outright and given up. Yet this all contrasts with the character’s dialog of constant verbal siege on everyone else’s actions. This lent a complex and relatable wholeness to C3PO few robotic characters have achieved. The magic of theater, story telling, dreams and the human condition were wrapped up magnificently by Daniels.

This is what you call a legend. He was my favourite part of IX And I totally agree with the fact that stunt doubles are undervalued, they definitely need an academy award.
@DamienDrake4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. Actors are regularly nominated for the transformations that the makeup department create, but people who risk their safety to make our jaws drop don't get anything. Then again, the academy is a joke... so there's that.
@clockworkkirlia74754 жыл бұрын
@@DamienDrake There is merit to the whole "we don't want to incentivise danger" thing... That said, there's an entire supporting industry built on danger that seems to be rather shoved under the rug, which also isn't fair. It's safer for the Academy not to reward it, I suppose, but I wish they had rather more exposure.
