It's not like that, punishment is the part of the training and it has its importance. Concept of chance does not exit in military as your mistake will take someone's life. And still cadets prefer punishment rather than restrictions on liberty days☺️

Focus should be on discipline through correction and repeated actions not by stupid Ragda which is an archaic method and practice which has been made famous. Focus on excellence through better methods and build emotional and mental strength apart from physical endurance. Sitting outside one may have romantic notions about this demonic ragda. Ask any NDA cadet he will tell you how painful and most times how meaningless and humiliating it is. Just an opportunity for some Sahab or a senior cadet to vent out his frustration on a hapless cadet or junior. This has to be denounced.
