At this time, all I want is a really good Superman movie. If James Gunn and WB don’t stick the landing with “Superman 2025”, then the entire DCU is dead in the water. None of these other DCU projects mean ANYTHING to me unless they nail Superman first and foremost. I don’t want another soulless Superman movie that’s just empty spectacle and tacked on references to the comics that don’t amount to anything. I want a good Superman movie that actually makes me care about Superman, where he’s written and treated like an actual character. Not to get off topic, but I absolutely LOVE the characterization and emotional depth the writers have given Superman in the newest animated series, “My Adventures with Superman”, so Superman 2025’s take on the character has a lot to live up to. With that said, I’m still pretty skeptical about the new movie. Just because James Gunn has found some success with a few superhero properties (Keyword being "some"), that doesn't mean he'll succeed with EVERY superhero property he's given, let alone Superman of all things. Even if James Gunn has the best of intentions for Superman, that’s not gonna stop the executives at WB from tampering with it and pushing the movie they “think” will be successful. Hell, Superman 2025, supposedly, has a budget of $360 million, which is INSANE! That’s almost 3 times the budget for the first “Iron Man (2008)!” That budget, alone, leads me to believe that Superman 2025 is just gonna be another bloated mess just like that piece-of-shit movie “Batman v Superman.” I'm not trying to bum people out who are looking forward to Superman 2025 and I don’t wanna go into the movie ready to hate on it like the Snyderverse fans already are (I absolutely HATED the Snyderverse movies and don’t support those movies or its fanbase in ANY way, especially that universe’s awful take on Superman). I’m just so tired of being disappointed by bad Superman adaptations that don’t value or understand Superman’s character or his appeal. I like James Gunn (I’ll always have fond memories of seeing the “Guardians of the Galaxy” movies in theaters), but I don’t know if he’s the right guy to helm the material. If shows like "Superman and Lois" and "My Adventures with Superman" can tell compelling stories with Superman, with strong characterization and emotional depth, with only a FRACTION of a Hollywood budget, then there is absolutely NO excuse for Superman 2025 to be anything less than "above average." I just want a good Superman movie made by people who ACTUALLY give a shit about Superman. Is that really too much to ask?

My top 5 most hyped movies here: 5. Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League (Really liked the first one, the Yakuza League look really well animated) 4. Teen Titans (Excited moreso than the lineup than anything, hoping Blue Beetle is in it since I loved Xolo Maridueña's portrayal of the character) 3. Bane & Deathstroke (Two of my favorite DC villains, really wanting to see what this movie is about, hopefully this and Clayface will take us out of the villain movie slump we seem to be in) 2. Brave and the Bold/The Batman Part II (Genuinely can't pick which one I want to see more, just some good old Batman action) 1. Actual deathstroke and bane have worked together before. In a lego movie called gotham city breakout where bane and deathstroke become rulers of a hidden tribe called the trogwogs and batman, batgirl, and knightwing have to free them from their mind control. It even goes into how deathstroke and batman in that universe where taught by the same master

Actually James Mangold has confirmed that Swamp Thing will be PG-13. The Sgt. Rock film has NOT been confirmed, also the Clay Face film is a false rumor, I think Alan Tudyk would continue to voice Clay Face if he appeared in Live Action. I think the Bane and Deathstroke team up film would kind of feel like Deadpool & Wolverine.

Swamp Thing as a horror movie would be fkin amazing, Clayface is my favorite Batman villain and him gets a film such as horror thriller tragedy is in character and I wanted Mike Flannegin to direct it if he wrote it that’s fine as well, Superman is my favorite superhero from DC him Spider-Man are my comfort characters so his new film next year I hope has a great story and stories to get behind, The Authority is in an interesting spot because of how this team operates including them being connected to Superman as well, Teen Titans and X-Men are my favorite superhero teams of all time I really do hope Teen Titans does come into live action idc the lineup but long as have my boiii Nightwing in I’ll be fine. He means confirmed by official announcement to be in development, as opposed to unannounced/unconfirmed movies like Sgt. Rock or Teen Titans that the press has written about without any studio confirmation. You're talking about movies that have a finalized script and have been greenlit for production. Superman (which has wrapped), Supergirl, and Dynamic Duo are the only movies so far with finalized scripts that were greenlit for production. Batman Pt. 2 is confirmed, but they're still waiting on Reeves to finish up his script. Once he's ready, hopefully soon, it'll head into production. Swamp Thing is actively in development, but no word yet on where Mangold is with the script he's writing. Same for Brave and the Bold - Gunn confirmed it's still currently in active development, but no word on where they are in the process.

It's not really an adaptation of that story, but I do think it's pulling from the themes in Kingdom Come. Instead of an older Superman coming out of retirement to tackle the new status quo among newer superheroes, it'll be an up and coming Superman challenging the status quo among the established heroes, while reminding people what it means to be a "hero."

No, it's closer to Superman vs the Elite or Superman vs the Authority and Gunn said he was inspired by All Star Superman. Kingdom Come is a completely different story, that takes place at a different time and it has a different tone.

Green Lantern has a show in development, Wonder Woman is getting an animated series, a video game and a Themyscera prequel series. Flash just had one of the biggest bombs in Hollywood history so he won't be appearing in a solo project until after he does well in a ensemble project. Shazam 2 was also an massive flop so he's getting the same treatment. The Suicide Squad may appear in Peacemaker season 2 or more likely, the Waller show but it got 2 spin offs. There's no talk of anything for Martian Manhunter but hell be a part of the eventual Justice League movie because Gunn said he's taking a lot of inspiration from the JL cartoon.

Those characters being the trinity/JLA and any other supporting character they intend to introduce like booster gold or swamp thing. That doesn’t mean every project has to be the same look at lanterns it’s a detective show or Batman brave and the bold being a father son story. You can have a diverse array of projects with your occasional unique elseworld story thrown into the mix. But overall dc studios should focusing on establish they’re central characters then introduce b-z tier characters that serve the story or overall narrative. How does sgt rock tie to the overall narrative or a bane & death stroke team up film ? Even shows like creature commandos and peacemaker season 2 are setting up important things for the dcu that being the creation of checkmate in peacemaker season 2 or dinosaur island being shown in creature commandos.
