Depends of the version, the Ultimate Captain America (early 00s) was a literal tank, best version of the character imo he took punches from Hulk and Giant Man head on, acted like a grizzled soldier, etc.. it's not the soyboy/boyscout version of 616 and the MCU. Trying not to be pessimistic but Marvel is dead and they have emptied an entire magazine into their foot to make sure they cant recover. Regarding Reshoots..... (1) I actually applaud Marvel for doing the reshoots because it only proves that they are trying their best to make this a good movie. (2) Seems everyone has forgotten the reason for these reshoots was due to INITIAL poor test screenings therefore Marvel is DOING THE RIGHT THING to undertake reshoots in pursuit for better customer satisfaction. (3) You guys are the same guys who complained saying the movie is bad due to poor test screenings. Marvel is doing reshoots to try to make corrections towards a ... hopefully... better result. And STILL YOU COMPLAIN. If Marvel had just left the movie as it was without doing reshoots and adjustments after the poor test screenings YOU WILL STILL COMPLAIN. That right here is definitively disingenuous, a grift and self-contradictory behaviour. (4) A multitude of movies (including VERY MANY y'all enjoyed) have been saved because of reshoots. It is not 100% always the case, sometimes reshoots make the movie worse but guess what?... Reshoots works for the better in the greater MAJORITY of the time when reshoots are done. (5) Reshoots are as old as Hollywood itself perhaps even older going into the period BEFORE the camera was invented in the era of stage plays where a play would got through several changes during production and rehearsals before the final day of presentation to the audience/ viewers. Point here is this movie/ Captain America 4 is NOT the first to do several reshoots and it will not be the last. Regarding the trailer..... I like what i am seeing and its giving all that Manchurian Candidate meets Jack Ryan vibes + the action scenes looking cool AF. I have no major problems with it except some caution for the possibility of disappointment (same with ANY movie) but this movie (at least what is shown in the trailer) is looking damn good and it got me genuinely very interested to watch it in cinema next year.

I've got several working theories: -Anthony Mackie cannot carry this movie on his own; he's so low-energy, which likely made Feige desperate enough to change a lot of things post-production. From the leaks, it seems Falcon was originally going to start the new Avengers himself. -The movie was probably very preachy and heavy handed at first, which might explain why they changed the title and reworked Sabra into just a generic agent instead of the Israeli super hero she actually is. -They originally had a scene where an attempt was made on the president's life, causing him to transform into Red Hulk. -Harrison Ford's "let's shoot this shit already!" comment probably made them get cold feet, thinking it needed to be more exciting despite it still looking like just a generic super hero movie. The rewrites are definitely starting to show. I doubt many casual fans even realize there are actually four villains, including Red Hulk: Diamondback, Sidewinder, and The Leader, who reportedly got laughed at during test screenings. At this rate, the movie will still be undergoing rewrites while it's in theaters. Audiences might as well choose their own ending.

The thing is.... Falcon was brought in as a side character. So he was watched as a side character F&WS was good. And the reason why it was good is because of the rivalry Sam and Bucky had. I remember back in 2022 when the leak grifters were trying to hype up this movie and making it look like a mess. It was a Hulk movie. Then, an X-Men movie. And finally, an Avengers movie. It was anything but a Captain America movie. You could argue that Civil War was Avengers 2.5 what with Iron Man, Ant-Man, Black Panther and Spider-Man turning up. But despite the crossover, it was still Steve's movie. It was a story about him protecting Bucky, his best friend, and only link to the past he has left, from the world. He didn’t care who stood in his way, whether it was the law, his friends, or the government. Brave New World, on the other hand? It feels like Disney knows that Sam has been rejected as Cap, so they're shoehorning everyone in for the sake of fanservice.

I genuinely don’t see why they didn’t make the “New Cap” a combination of Bucky & Falcon, sharing screen time & the shield. While I agree Bucky should’ve just been the new Cap, at least this way Sam isn’t “left out” in their minds. The only good parts of F&WS was their personal struggles and their new partnership. I can fix this: Falcon gets ass kicked in act 1 trying to be cap. Act2, goes back to old cap "Why did you pick me?" Steve: "I knew you would make the right choice." Falcon gives shield to Bucky "You the Captain now." Montage! Act 3, Falcon and new Captain America kick ass. NO: dei, strong female bullshit. A story about a man that tried to be something he's not, made a hard choice and became who he was all along. Roll credits with teaser of Bucky finding a piece of the carnage symbiote, and Westly snipes and Evan Peters fighting Ghost Rider and the Punisher. Pay me Disney, and I'll fix Star Wars too.

For the uninformed...... (1) Steve Rogers is about 185 years old now. He got very old and elderly and chose Sam to be his successor as the New Captain America in AVENGERS ENDGAME movie 2019. (2) In the source material/ comics, Sam became Captain America in 2014 (TEN YEARS AGO) and is still Captain America today alongside Steve Rogers in the comics. (3) Legacy characters.... 3a)... Superheroes lore has a tradition of sidekicks and LEGACY characters for OVER 50 YEARS so superheroes can and have transfered and/or given and/or shared and/or picked-up their mantle with other characters. There are an abundance in superhero-dom from Blue Beetle, Flash, Green Lantern, Spiderman, Batman, Superman, Antman, Hulk, Human Torch, Spawn, Robin, The Queston, Solar/ Doctor Solar, Zorro, etc and so on. They are VERY many. 3b) ... Other than Sam Wilson becoming Captain America, there have been at least FIVE other Captain Americas other than Steve Rogers* like William Naslund, Jeffrey Mace, John Walker (currently U.S Agent in MCU after his failed Captain America stint on Falcon and Winter Soldier tv series), William Burnside and James "Bucky" Barnes/ Winter Soldier. 3c) ....Notice grifters only focus on legacy characters who are NOT White inherently implying only non-whites become legacy characters which is definitively NOT true. They make it sound like Sam Wilson is the first ever legacy character to have the mantle in order to conflate this to "DEI" Rwwaaar🤣. (5) Sam has vibranium SUIT + Vibranium WINGS + Vibranium SHIELD + Adamantium also inside this movie (according to rumors). All these enhancements with such powerful materials are much STRONGER than IRONMAN's Hulkbuster armor made from ordinary materials which had NO vibranium and NO Adamantium yet Tony Stark used that to defeat an ENRAGED Hulk in Avengers 2: Age of Ultron including cracking Hulk's jaw and even tanked some hits from Hulk AND knocked a tooth out of Hulk's mouth. With those upgrades (vibranium + possible adamantium), Sam has a better chance fighting any Hulk in a dragged out combat against Red Hulk/ RULK as long as he fights smart and tactical just long enough for Sam and/or bis colleagues to to find a way to incapacitate Red Hulk/ Rulk. They have shown in the trailer how Sam's wings and suit and shield TANKING direct missiles hits without flinching and NO DAMAGE. Sam is shown using that vibranium enhancements to move FASTER THAN SOUND, making a heavy landing and TANKING sonic boom still NO DAMAGE because of the vibranium. Trailer also shows the wings can be used offensively to cut/ slice stuff like he did to the burning vehicle. They are not showing us all that in the trailer by accident. Go watch the THUNDERBOLTS trailers and see what Bucky is doing WITH HIS VIBRANIUM ARM which he can NOT do with his super soldier serum enhanced biological arm. EDIT: Additional insight on Steve Rogers age mentioned in (1)... .... He was about 90years old when he defrosted from the ice at the end of Captain America 1 movie which brought him into the modern era in 2011 then when you add Steve's modern era time in Captain America 2+3 and Avengers 1,2,3 + 4 (9 years, 2011-2019) AND when Steve time travelled back to the mid-1940s to return to his lover PEGGY CARTER then lived through 1940s to 2019 (additional 70s years at least) AND Steve's age (about mid-20s) in Captain America 1 before he got stuck in suspended animation in the ice. All adds up to about 180 years old. This is because Steve went through about 73 years 1946 to 2019 TWICE = 146 years + His years in modern era (2011-2019)= 9 years + His initial age before he got stuck in ice in mid-1940s= mid-20s perhaps 25 years old (estimate) + 5 year time jump Estimated TOTAL age (in the end of AVENGERS ENDGAME movie, 2019) = 185years old
