Something to remember even though I hate when people call this an app. A large number of people use youtube exclusively on their phones. They don't put youtube.com into a url bar. They open the app on their phones/smart tv/tablet. So, technically, for some people it is exclusively an app. But, knowing the context most people of any internet knowledge would know that all apps essentially redirect a portion or all of their traffic from the main website server. Most people know that youtube is a website, and has an app for ease of use. An app such as youtube or twitter is just a fancy website view. Nobody would call it an app except zoomers or people who basically only use their phones.
