The only reason why the world is not a better place to live is only because of Adharma.(Unrighteousness) Adharma is our only enemy, Adharma is not any particular person, religion, or race. It lies within ourselves. Dharma is a notion that shows us the path, it is the concept that says to do what is required of you i.e, do the rightmost thing that needs to be done. You have do it under any circumstances. Do it unattached to the world and everything in it, be it your parents, your emotions, your desires or anything else. It is dharma, a concept, a guiding principle, a conceptualized entity that commands to do what is due to the world, the things that should be done, those things that should be implemented. . By abiding Dharma you always carry out the rightmost action. Adharma is simply not doing the this

Take the driverless cars, if they became accessible, you can bet homeless will take advantage of them and criminals will block or damage them because they can. Only in a sane society or culture can they be used, such as Japan. Though I can see them being used for business trips for big firms or colleges to get to one area of the campus.

So yeah, those are one of the worst inventions, I can bet my life goverments woudn't miss a chance to use it that way, same as it was in nukes.
@jmoney4695Ай бұрын
It sounds dystopian, but only when looked at in isolation. By the time that artificial wombs might become commonplace, humanoid robots and AGI will at least be close, if not perfected. It sounds crazy, but if AGI is truly as intelligent as a human (and much smarter than a human in many ways), android robots would likely be incredible caregivers, companions and parents if well aligned. Not to mention that if biology can meaningfully extend life expectancy, and additive manufacturing + robotic labour can drive down the relative cost of living, people may choose to adopt. Imagine living to 150 years old - children take 20-25 years to develop. If you were 75, and knew you were only halfway through your life, and you can’t have kids anymore (or maybe biology fixed that too), it would be much more appealing to adopt.

The scariest part is, I’m trying to conceptualize the future and I have no idea what that looks like. Up until recently I could always see what mattered and could plan for the coming years. But technology is advancing so quickly that lately progression has been feeling like I’m standing still. What do I build towards? Wealth, Love, purpose? It’s all being exposed as time goes on as some form of outdated technology. The system we all know of is about to end and what will follow after will be beyond conception of every one of us. It’s all happening and all at once. Maybe that’s when the real game starts. Everything to this point has been the tutorial. Good luck

Not "can". They WILL be abused by governments, corporations and individuals. Imagine an army of supersoldier AGI heartless and emotionless androids, each having a miniature nuclear bomb in them controlled by a super intelligence and they 3d-print each other right on the battlefield so no transport cost.
@djwizzwizz180028 күн бұрын
the funding for all of these is literally just billionaires and government as well. except 3d printing maybe. so they will have access to all of this stuff long before any normal human.
@reaperz56778 күн бұрын
@@djwizzwizz1800 To be fair, who else would fund it if not the government/billionaires? They're the only two entities rich enough to afford research on such dystopian shit, an average pleb has enough food on their plate where neuralinks sounds useless to them (because they are useless). Also I'll be devil's advocate for government ownership: I'd argue that billionaires/corporations would be worse than government ownership of such things. Billionaires got their wealth from abusing the system, and corporations are only driven by profits. Governments (but only democratic ones) are at least driven by the will of the people (lest they won't get re-elected), so there's incentive for them not to abuse such technology.

The brain is a neural network and works with making it so neurons will activate at a certain chance when reacting to things. Over time our neurons get trained to fire at the correct chances in response to various things. This is great for pattern recognition and learning new behaviors, but not to calculate infinite math formulas. Quantum computers are more like sticks laying on top of each other, and where the sticks touch, a plastic ball drops into a bowl, and the bowl has a funnel that can automatically count the amount of balls. Making it so instead of humans counting for hours how many overlaps there are, we instantly get the number.
