well said Brother. most of us have been there due to finances, family or at worst, confusion. I follow u on insta, but this is great. ur story relates so much, couldn't hold back tears, I am 38 and just play a semi pro tourney annually but deep down the bowler in me never seems to rest, or at peace. I just want to keep kicking that dust and beat batsman after batsman. Shahbaz Bhai love U for ur journey and sharing ur emotions. thanks

Thank you so much for the comment Amit. It takes a lot of courage to even comment on a post like this so well done. I am inspired to read that at 38, the fire is still burning within you - keep it going brother. Remember, we do this because we LOVE IT. Not for the praise or the contract. We do this because we LOVE IT!

I feel the same. Every year I don’t make representative teams. All my friends have given up on cricket but I want to keep going. My genetics for fast bowling aren’t there either. Plateaued at 110kph which is never enough to become a professional. It’s ok to not make it. Just enjoy the process and be happy with the hard work you have put in. Cricket isn’t everything.
@PaceJournal4 жыл бұрын
Jarrod you said it best! Enjoy the game for what it is and you will be fine! 🙏

If you gonna technically sound like bhoom🌋 you never gonna be stop in 110kmph, I sure that . Do hard work and focus on your goal and believe yourself you can achieve anything what you really want just 'FOCUS AND BELIEVE YOURSELF'
@harikrishnanchandramohan42094 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry to hear you didn't have a technical coach. The speed increases in sudden spurts. Its exponential function not linear. Plateaus are the classic symptoms that its gonna peak. Hence the name plateau (something that precedes a peak). You should have just holded on. The brain is designed to adapt. Plateaus are like the roots of a bamboo tree. It was only preparing your body for the next peak(maybe around 140kph). Unfortunately you stopped. Hope you learn from experience next time. Michael Jordan was short and plateaued as an average basketball player for a long time. He just waited, waited and again waited till it exploded. This is the whole purpose of sports. It tests your perseverance and rewards you 10 folds.
@harikrishnanchandramohan42094 жыл бұрын
I guess Shoaib Akthar started bowling at 161.4 Kph, seeing that his parents sent him to play cricket. Only God knows how many plateaus he would have crossed.
