​​@@jojounicorn4610 I don't really agree with that assessment honestly, Shadow was extremely vengeful and edgy in SA2 even if he didnt outwardly swear or use guns. He either manipulated or talked down to everyone he met, insulted those he saw as inferior, and showed almost no remorse for anything he did. He didnt even really have a character arc, Amy just happened to trigger his repressed memory of Maria. He's still the same character at the start and end of that game, it's just his goal that changes. And it proves that Shadow has the capability to be truly evil and heinous given some memory tampering, which is exactly what happens in Heroes and Shadow. Shadow 05 actually filled in some gaps with his character and gave him real agency. I'd call it an upgrade.
