The only curse in the family is horrible parenting: a kid starved and ate poisonous things left in the house,a kid launched from a swing built right in front of a cliff,a kid left out during a storm,a kid drowned in the bathtub because his mother was talking to the phone etc. The curse is just a coping mechanism for Eddie (im also like 90% sure she accidentally killed Barbara and Walter was hiding from her).

Walter and Lewis are the saddest, both of them are trapped in routine, and they essentially die due to it. Walter hits me hard because he died trying to escape from what happened to his sister. He finally escapes routine, and his first time seeing the outside and smelling the fresh air phased him so much that he died. Lewis hits hard because he gets trapped inside of his own mind, and he ends up killing himself because he doesn’t want to be trapped in his boring life either.

PlagueDoctor Honey did you watch Lewis’s story and not understand it because he was killed by the guillotine that cut the fishes head off but while he was in his daydream after he had stopped doing marijuana and started going to therapy or a psychiatrist he started daydreaming and he imagined eating was getting a crown put on his head and that he was becoming a king but he was really putting his head under the guillotine and it cut his head off. He didn’t know it was the guillotine he was putting his head under he though he was getting the crown put on his head and was becoming a king .

You can tell he was so traumatized about his brother dying and the “Finch Curse” where he literally couldn’t live in the moment without having to photograph every little thing. It’s part of what makes the game such a beautiful story-telling game, all the deaths can be somewhat linked together for a variety of reasons.

CAUSE OF DEATHS: Molly Finch: Ate a carrot. Ate a tube of toothpaste. Ate hollyberries. Started to hallucinate and died by food poisoned. Calvin Finch: Swang too much in the Swing Set and caused him to spin around, "fly", fall into the seas, and die. Barbara Finch: Eaten alive by group of Halloween Gangsters OR Eaten alive by obsessive fans/saesangs. Walter Finch: FINALLY gets out of the bunker but gets hit by a train and dies OR simply su!c!ded and falls to the seas. Sam Finch: Tried to shot a deer but the dear is still alive and it pushed him off a cliff. Gregory Finch: LITERALLY GOT LEFT IN THE BATHTHUB CAUSING HIM TO DIE. (Those irresponsible parents, smh. Rip GREGORY. You are still young). And hallucinated after. Gus Finch: Flying a kite but suddenly a tornado started happening and items started hitting him and eventually dies. Milton Finch: He didnt really die, but he went missing and probably ran out of the house to try and "leave" the "curse". Lewis Finch: His imagination killed him thinking he is in a awesome palace, bows down and suddenly his head gets chop off by a fish chopper or simply a little guillotine. He probably su!c!ded. Dawn Finch: Died from a illness. Edie Finch: Mixed medicine to alchohol, drank it and died. Lastly... Edith Finch: Died from childbirth. I can make a few guesses that Molly died of starvation, and that Calvin died after falling into ocean from swing; but why can Barbara die with ear in music box and being eaten by monsters, and what was Walter doing in the basement for all those decades and what he was hiding from and why the train tracks were there; and who was Gus and how did he die.at wedding, did he cause the fire? Also, how did Milton die as the game only shows the artwork of the sktch; why did Lewis have depression and fantasise about being king (, and why did the servants cheer and appluade as he was going to be beheaded, and why he face depression and needed a doctor to help. Also, why did Edith die (, was it because she gave birth so young), and why did she want to die? Oh, and what is the name of her child.

I'm assuming that Walter was psychologically damaged by Barbara's death and stayed in the basement for the duration of his life. Molly, a 10 year old girl, is sent to bed one night before dinner (as a punishment). She isn’t able to sleep because she’s hungry, so she eats whatever slightly-edible items she can find in her room: gerbil food, an entire tube of toothpaste, and a handful of holly berries. Molly became extremely sick from what she ate (holly berries are poisonous, and toothpaste had fluoride), so as an imaginative young girl under extreme physical stress she began to hallucinate. Molly loves animals, as seen in her room’s design, so she imagines herself as all of her favorite animals hunting for food. Her most likely causes of death are: -fluoride poisoning (due to the toothpaste) -hypothermia (she kept her bedroom window open all night, in December, bc of her illness) -choking on her own vomit (due to the inedible food, holly berries/fluoride both cause vomiting)
