One thing I want to point out is homelander probably never saved Madelines baby, it's shown later that he was injected with V and he can teleport insinuating that he teleported out before the explosion, I doubt homelander would care about the baby considering how jealous of it he got

@@Lumistrocityit’s not clear until you watch season 3, at which point it is just heavily insinuated. But a big hint is when the reporter says he was mysteriously found miles away. Which can be for either answer, but along with homelanders distaste for the baby, I think he teleported.

For those that dont know, or didnt check, when Stormfront has been lasered by Ryan and speaks in German, shes reminiscing to a time with her husband and her daughter (I would assume).
