DUNE HYPE! recently went to play their previous game Conan Exiles and been loving it so far. Of course limitations with UE4 suck. So them using UE5 for dune (if they take time to optimize) has soo much potential!

Zenimax learned how to put out crap just like their parent company put out the disaster that was fallout 76, current ESO started as a huge embarrassment and never cared to fix much of itself as long as there was a functioning in game store they could drain your wallet with. If there is one company to dismiss before they even release its zenimax.

I just don't believe any releases until they actually happen. So many years of "coming soon" on MMOs to have them only release with partial features or not at all.

Sigh. Thank you for the list, though i am not optimistic on anything made by Ncsoft anymore. Arenanet had to fight them very hard to limit microtransactions to what it is in that game.

Given jay you are a more experienced mmo player, having gone through the growth of new world, appreciating what it takes to deliver content, bug free player and game mechanics, you have to look at them all with two views. 1. Is it enough for general middle of the road player, 10 hours a week. 2. Hard core obsessive.... Btw these people will never be happy.

ChronoOdessey and Archeage definitely are the most exciting ones on the docket. Fingers crossed either one actually releases and isn't a complete cesspool of mtx... Guild Wars 3 is a myth and anyone in the GW2 community knows it. This "announcement" was accidentally dropped at a shareholders meeting in which the parent company, NCSoft, was trying to scramble to cover thier ass and make themselves look good after an abysmal failure of a quarter following the absolute debacle that was the initial release of Throne and Liberty in Korea. Considering Anet has already announced and is currently developing multiple future expansions, this is AT MOST a far future wish list idea. I dont think anyone in the GW2 community expects to be a reality in anything less than like 6-8 years. Dune absolutely looks like the hottest MMO of 2012. Biggest game to drop on Unreal Engine 3 yet. Seriously, who can look at these previews and not think it looks like absolute dogwater for a game thats supposed to come out in 2025? Terrible cash grab. LoTR. Snooze. I just couldn't care less about that IP at this point. So bored of it. The game will have to be outstanding as an MMO on its own for me to care at all because theres nothing about the LoTR franchise that excites me these days, especially as it pertains to it being an Amazon production.

Looking forward to the Dune game. The Chrono Odyssey game's environments and creatures look fantastic, but I just can't get past the Asian character art style. It just makes me cringe.

if you want a successful mmo, make it sub based... its that simple, having tab target these days is basically suicide.

Tab target is not suicide, if it was WoW and FF wouldn’t have multi-millions of players. A sub is needed though, we’ve seen how games go when they rely on a store. It’s either p2w predatory or content is as scarce as water in a desert.
