I did everything step by step ,so practical byte 0 to byte 10 means the speed closing, So what I did little bit different Byte 0 - 8 Byte 1- 15 Byte 2- 20 Byte 3- 25 So adding plus 5 till byte 10 or so - the last i did 50 or 60 Once again Byte 0x08 Byte 0x15 Byte 0x20 That's the speed of closure(60 on top- 8 on bottom) for me 10 was too fast .. Thank you my friend for posting video like this. By the way, try to put byte 0 to 20 if you see still to fast change to 10 , but even 10 to fast then put 9 or 8 . I think 8 it's fine, Byte 1 maybe 14 Byte 2 maybe 19 ... Changing those byte meaning the speed slow or fast . Difrent bmw difrent speed of closure. So try with 20 if that will be fast then try to change to 15 or slower. Good luck

Oh no, Ed! After many months of loving it, I’m thinking of reverting this lovely mod back to stock. I’m beginning to think there’s a functional purpose behind the *THUNK*. Aside from a more audible reassurance that it’s closed all the way, I believe it helps close a packed trunk better since it’s closing it with more force. Our family has packed up the X5 many times and since doing this mod, I’ve been noticing the hatch “bounces” off our stuff more than it used to, forcing us to manually close it.

I can see your complaint. I had to load up a few boxes and I needed it to slam shut. I may try and play with the numbers to see if there could be a in between mode.

Thanks for this coding I applied these settings and found it better but still a little harsh, the original settings were all 40 1 through to 8, looking at the settings you supplied I took a educated guess that the first three setting is all that needed to be changed. I proceeded to adjust these settings until I got the perfect close, my best settings are 0= 10 1=20 2=30 the rest I left @ 40, found this to be perfect for my car, clearly this may vary from car to car. I was sure to reload the default setting between every try just incase! Cheers Tony

I'll have to have a look, I never noticed it closing hard....mine seems to already soft close. I did code it with bimmercode a little while back to be able to open and close from the door and fob. Great app. One thing to keep in mind while using bimmercode is to have your car battery on a charger. If your battery dies from lights being on or fans being on, some one putting a window down....you could brick your ecu. Don't let your car die. Also for bmw the ecu's won't all function if the drivers seat belt isn't clicked in.

Off subject I got 2016 x5m recently changes my body domain controller now my windows won’t go down with the key fob, I tried pressing it twice like how it would work do would know what I can do also the window button from inside when I press it down once in goes down but when I press the button up it won’t go up automatically only the down works

I tried to do backups on my f85 2018 and it didn't seem to work for the softclose tailgate i think i coded a lot on that day when i coded my tailgate and now i dont know when. i always love/follow/watch your video content. The backups should happen automatically. Yes, you can code the delay but I believe it's under Body Domain Control
