What I didn't like about Zoro vs Erza was how barebones Erza's analysis felt, at least when compared to Zoro. With Zoro they go in depth over his abilities and Haki and with Erza it was just "This armor gives her wings. This one gives her a spikes. This one gives her a lance." Okay, I get that Erza has a whole armory's worth of armors but at least get the basic effects right instead of just "this one has a lance" as if Erza can't summon lances at will in general. That just rubbed me the wrong way as a hardcore Erza fan. That aside, it was a good episode with one of the most brutal deaths on the show, and I'm happy Erza got on Death Battle at all. Edit: Also Natsu says "Lightning Dragon Fire Mode" when he enters the form instead of Lightning Fire Dragon Mode and I'm like "Did they not have enough time to do a second take or did they think nobody would notice?"

3:58 Thank you!! God that was the worst part of that episode. Here I was a post watching Tataros fan looking forward to the death battle with no idea about the future episodes or the manga at this point and they don't give any spoilers for his backstory. Besides that I love these episodes not just cause I am biased to them as Fairy Tail is also my favorite anime even with it's problems, but just being fun sprite battles. I will say their is so jank in them and the Natsu backstory reveal really annoyed me but besides that they are really fun! I hope Death Battle does more Fairy Tail death battles although I am unsure who would be next as Lucy is one IDK who she could fight.

The death in natsu vs ace annoys me way more then it should. Mostly because just like... that's not how logia fruits work, moreover if ace had anything to fear from Natsu's fire eating as the conclusion tries to frame it, then why was the logia user who's critically weak to being even a little wet able to reform from his elemental body getting munched(aka croc)? I think this is actually a case where doing some kinda heat based stat calc would be the better arguement. Especially since burning hotter then Ace's fire is a known to beat his specific fruit ability and one that seems quite plausible considering how Natsu has as much to feed on as he needs/wants to here.

The best argument I could make is that Natsu’s flames have the ability to burn through spells/magic, like he did with the spell Sting put on him and later with burning Zeref’s infinite magic from Fairy Heart; if you could prove that Devil Fruits are comparable enough to Magic/Ethernano, you could argue that Natsu can bypass Ace’s intangibility by burning his fruit abilities.

My Predictions: Starscream vs Rainbow Dash at best is getting a 2, it might even get a 1. Pure disrespect to Transformers just to add hype to MLP Tigerzord vs Gundam Epyon will likely get an 8. It's one of those episodes where there's really nothing to complain about and tells a pretty cool story. Godzilla vs Gamera is definitely getting a 10. It's his favourite episode. nuff said. Power Rangers vs Voltron is getting a 9. It was meant to be the Season 3 finale and more time was put into making it the best it can possibly be. Optimus Prime vs Gundam......I don't know. He says it's overrated yet he also says it's his 2nd favourite episode just because Prime is his favourite character in all of fiction. But now that he's reviewed nearly every single episode and analyzed the vast majority of them, chances are that bias might go down. If it does I'm guessing a 7. If not, it's still a 10. Dragonzord vs Mechagodzilla will probably get a 9. Pet peeves are present such as the disrespect towards Akane Yashiro, but it's still a great kaiju fight.

Erza vs Zoro is an episode I only watched once just because Erza's death bothers me a little. Not because she died, but because part of me kinda wishes she got a death similar to Kakashi or Alucard instead. Seeing her body split in half like that just makes me iffy, because she's my fave character. So part of me hopes she gets another episode down the line, but I doubt it. This isn't me being upset she lost btw because I love Fairy Tail. I didn't mind Gray losing in his episode and I did feel a little bad One Piece fans had to see Ace die again. But such is a way with DB.

Another problem with Zoro vs Ezra is that they put Ezra at bullet timing which even early in the series is much faster than bullets. Also they made a big deal of how Zoro was a master swordsman as if to say Erza wasn’t. Still a good episode though but it was far closer than they lead on

What would you say Erza’s best scaling for speed are? I think lightning speed is the most consistent scaling from Laxus, but I could see light speed being argued from Sting’s magic of light/holy magic in general.

Don’t know if you’re caught up with the most recent chapters, but… Wendy just got done fighting a dragon slayer who boasts about moving at lightspeed, just barely being able to react to him. I don’t entirely know how this version of Wendy compares to past Erzas in speed and power, but it kinda goes without saying that current Erza should be comparable if not faster.

I wouldn’t mind seeing another One Piece character get into Death Battle. My favourite out of the bunch is Vee (Eevee) VS Tony Tony Chopper, two small brown animals with abilities tied to evolution, which allows them to chance into different forms to best handle different circumstances. Both even being allies to adventurous protagonists and originated in very long running manga series. Too bad it’s never happening :( Fairy Tail had several ideas that I like, even if they sound stupid to some. Laxus VS MCU Thor, Gajeel VS Kevin Levin, Ichiya VS Armstrong from FMA, or Wendy VS Eleonora Viltaria from Lord Marksman and Vanadis. Lucy Heartfilia VS Joey Wheeler is still my favourite Fairy Tail Death Battle though.

Fair. Put simply, Kid is a rival pirate to Luffy, being of similar notoriety and power. Strength and speed wise he’s shown to be comparable if not equal to Luffy while both are imprisoned and suppressed with sea prism stone hand cuffs (the material that negates devil fruit abilities), he has a devil fruit that allows him to control magnetic forces, with his primary attacks consisting of attracting large quantities of metal to him to throw around attacks, or repelling and metal weapons used against him. Spoilers In more recent chapters he’s revealed to have the ability to turn people into magnets, such that they attract and get damaged by any metal in the vicinity.

He also voiced Tai in the Charizard vs. Greymon fight before the Natsu vs. Ace fight. They also got Chris Sabat to play Solid Snake, but not All Might. A lot of the time, voice actors' contracts state they're not allowed to play characters outside of contexts specifically outlined in the contract, and I'm pretty sure Death Battle isn't included in a lot of them. It's also why Chris Sabat had to go by a pseudonym in order to play the narrator in Team Four Star's Super Android 13 video.

Honestly I think fairy tail vs One piece isn’t a good clash of IP in death battle. Especially now given the introduction of the advanced haki forms (future sight and Flow) one piece is my absolute favorite anime of all time and i like fairy tail (though i have a burning hatred for how repetitive the story is especially how they defeat the main villains) currently fairy tail has no realistic ways of going toe to toe with any of the main cast of OP and i want OP match ups to be as even as you can get. Like Luffy Vs Meruem or Usopp vs Vash the Stampede or even Chopper vs Zeke Yeager (beast titan) those matches are a lot more even than the previous.

Considering there's a continuation of Fairy Tail and they'll likely do crazier magic.

Don’t disagree with the results of Zoro vs Erza, even with both series continuing I think Zoro still has the better scaling for AP and speed. That said, even though they didn’t have the info on both we do now, both Zoro and Erza feel very down played for when the video came out. They scaled Zoro to his afterimage feat on Whisky Peak, even though when the episode came out Zoro had gotten much faster and had FTL feats with Kuma and the Pacifista lasers (both while tired/fatigued), and they scaled Erza to being a bullet timer, even though at bare minimum she should be comparable to lightning given her clashing with Laxus, and if we wanted a reasonable highball and consider Sting’s dragon breath to be an actual laser, Erza could certainly be relativistic if not lightspeed. Cutting Pica was a fine lowball feat to get Zoro in the megaton range, but by that point he was stronger than Chinjao and Sai (both said to be able to destroy an ice continent), Thriller Bark Luffy (defeated Oars who was said to be an island/continent puller), Skypia Luffy (tanked the Thunder Advent and parted the clouds to the horizon), and along with the other Straw Hats tanked the Knock Up stream.

I didn’t like Erza vs Zoro for two things: Nakagami Armor, which you’re explanation is acceptable. The other thing is Adamantine Armor. Erza uses it once in that fight, which kinda shows how lackluster DB can be at times. If Zoro’s force can break through Metal equal to Adamantine, then I have no issues with it. Without that, I say Erza’s smart enough to recognize that her Adamantine Armor could protect her from his ultimate move and counter afterwards.

The Adamantine armor broke from a Jupiter cannon, which was meant to destroy the Fairy Tail guild hall and potentially Magnolia, making it just durable enough to withstand building to town level attacks. I don’t think this gets it close to Zoro’s feat of cutting Pica, much less his country/continental scaling.

@@michaeldorsey9231 but that was an Erza who’s magical Potential had yet to be fully mastered. After that she went on to grow stronger until her Second Origin Opened. She destroyed Pandemonium minutes, and I don’t think Zoro could do that with no armor or Elemental counters. Then there’s destroying a Meteor using only a single hand to launch herself and using that same hand to destroy the Meteor. Sure that’s no Country level, but that was Erza only having a single limp to do anything against that Meteor, which is a Meteor, which is a lot harder to destroy than one thinks. A fully powered, Second Origin unlocked Erza could do even more damage, and tank even more damage. I would have to say that the Jupiter Cannon is slightly underpowered because of how many super powerful mages survive it. Phantom Lord may have targeted the guild, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it took out the town and kept going for miles after that, leading to a MUCH stronger blast that Erza tanked. As strong as Zoro is, he doesn’t wear Armor, and he’s only low tier Anime levels of Super Human. All that aside, all DB would have to do is address that Zoro can slash with a force greater than the Jupiter Canon by at east a factor of 10 and I’m good.

Spoilers up ahead; He can cut fire after mastering Kinemon’s sword play, allowing him to hurt living fire (Prometheus) and cut through Kaido’s Boro Breath, has tanked and recovered quickly from lightning generated by Zeus, and can coat his swords with Conquerors Haki, allowing him to repel anyone clashing with his swords and potentially being able to bypass durability to some extent.

That being said, thanks for the info! Still not sure if he could survive long enough to take on the S-Class at 3x power, but he probably could win with Haki. It’s good to have clarification!

I know this probably isn't the best place to share this view, but... I really hate Fairy Tail. I read the manga last year and it is legitimately the worst manga I have ever read. Before it I read Rave, which isn't good, but it was Mashima's first series, so I could let a lot slide. Fairy Tail, on the other hand... Where to begin! Every single thing about it is demeaning, insulting, and lacking in originality. The villains are so painfully forgettable, and the protagonists are insufferable. Mashima straight-up didn't give a single fuck when writing and drawing it, and you can feel it. It is an absolutely fucking terrible piece of fiction. It's not even propped up by the art, which is mediocre at best. And, I know, some of you probably don't want to hear (read) this, but I mean every single thing I say about it - with every fibre of my being. It deserves no respect.

I kinda used to feel the same way after the ‘final’ arc wrapped up, but I think a lot of my problems with the series might have been stemming from reading the series in bad faith. Not to say that it’s anywhere being a personal favorite, but I think there’s some merit to the series that people tend to overlook. If you need something to occupy your time, Craftsdwarf has some content related to Fairy Tail analysis; he initially had a series dedicated to pointing out Fairy Tails writing flaws, but on revisiting the series he got new appreciation and debunked some of his older criticisms.

@@michaeldorsey9231 Believe you me, I am very easy to please (I have read around 140 manga and only rated about five series under a 5/10), and I did try to find something good within Fairy Tail, but to no avail. I did try to be as open minded as possible to think of a positive, but I failed. It really is just that bad.
