It's 2024 and our cars still come with hood props?! Almost every other car in the Toyota and Subaru lineup comes with hood struts except the GR86/BRZ so what gives? TBF I have never ever seen a hood prop fail but I have seen struts fail and results can be real nasty. I feel safer with a hood prop.

Had just the opposite. We live in a windy area. Was looking at the turn signal and a gust of wind pulled the prop off the hood and it came down on my hand (caught my watch trying to yank out of the way

Hi Kevin I just picked up my new 2024 BRZ tS yesterday. Although I knew it didn't have wireless connect for AppleCarplay, I didn't realize it would be such an inconvenience to deal with that wire all the time and find a place to put the phone all wired-up. I assume that Subaru/Toyota think the best place to put the phone is in the armrest cubby, but I plan to keep "stuff" in there. Do you have another alternative place to quickly stash the phone each time you get into the car? My Miata has a little net pouch I stuck to the side of the console but it isn't deep enough to hold a phone. Your thoughts appreciated.
