It's the easiest thing to do on a guitar so no matter if you play them perfectly you'll still sound like a beginner because you aren't adding anything even slightly complicated. @@DC-wo2yb I, for one, am horrible at singing, so that was never my priority. Furthermore even if it was her goal, the guitar playing wouldn't fascinate the teacher. Perhaps, he may be fascinating by her singing. Nonetheless, it was a guitar lesson, not a singing lesson, so "sounding pro" should mean that the guitar playing sounds pro
@Kaz999998
@Kaz999998 3 жыл бұрын
@@martin9707 Well I mean she did play those chords as cleanly as one can, and while the singing part was completely unnecessary, it doesn't make it any less impressive. Honestly if your goal is to sing/guitar at the same time, and do it better, what advice would YOU give? Legit the only thing I can think of is more complexity; more complex chords, melodies, patterns, progressions, etc. (But even then, this is subjective as complexity =/= good or better) Maybe calling it pro level was a bit hyperbolic, but I'm pretty sure the video was illustrating she's clearly practiced and well disciplined as a musician, so it puts the teacher in a tough spot.

I do, very often. It’s fun because whenever I don’t play it perfectly I feel like I’m wasting my teacher’s time and effort, because they didn’t master the instrument just to watch a 14 year old struggle with basic chords.
