Love your videos Adam! I’m 15 years old, a 15 handicap, with only 130 yard 8 Irons and 200 Yard drives. But Today I shot 80 from 6300 yards. I get ridiculed for my swing and club distances by my 20 Handicap Friends, but thanks to your course management advice and positive attitude on the course, I am now hoping to consistently shoot in the low 80s. Thanks for the help Adam, keep up the great work!

Dude that’s awesome. You’re ahead of where I was at 15 years old. I didn’t crack into the single digits with my handicap until late 2020 (I was 17) and if your average is low 80’s you’re probably there already. Being a single digit handicap with that distance tells me you’re a short game wizard. Love to hear it, man. If you’re not playing for your high school team I highly encourage you to do so. That’s where I found my big break. Improved by over 5 strokes per nine holes from sophomore to senior year. Went from just barely making the lineup half the time to being the team scoring average leader on the team that won regionals for the first time in 28 years. Sounds like your future is even brighter. Go get it, kid! 👍🔥⚔️

I played so poorly today that I almost quit at the turn. Watching your front nine, it makes me feel better that I’m not alone lol. The back nine, I stopped paying attention to the score. Never really got it going today, but I was playing golf while the rest of the world was working, so nothing to complain about 😉 Nice looking course, enjoyed the video!

NEVER quit, man. Never quit. You never know when that one spectacular miracle shot will happen where you hole out from a bunker or from the fairway 120 yards away or even a hole in one. Always fight. Always push. In late 2021 I had a round where I bogeyed the first six holes and it was hardly above freezing, super windy, nobody else on the course but my partner who was my cousin, but we played on. On the seventh hole, the hardest on the course, I had a 190 5-iron with the ball six inches above my feet. I hit this absolutely gorgeous 10 yard draw and it ends up about six inches from going in. Tap in Birdie, and all of a sudden I think life is good again.
@AlabamaGolfer
@AlabamaGolfer Жыл бұрын
@@buffaloben15golf88 I did soldier on. In fact, I drained a 40-footer for birdie on the 14th, so that lifted my spirits. 😂 But the front 9 was just that bad. Had two triples, a double, and three bogeys. I got over the frustration at the turn and decided to just enjoy the day. 👍

I used to be a pro there and I couldn't stand it when it was called the poor man's pebble beach. The back 9 is really nice but the front is a cobbled-together mess of a track. I haven't played it recently but in the 1990's, it was not a great track. A local public course with great locals to be sure.

Fair assessment. I just love golfing anywhere on the Monterey Peninsula, and when my wallet is dinged less than 3 figures I'm a happy man!

Playing poorly brings about a game within the game. A game called “Don’t shank”. Once you start playing that game, aim and course strategy goes out the window.

Your swing is so far behind you there’s. No other shot you can shoot besides a pull hook or chunk every time.. keep the club more infront of your body in the future on every club you have ..
