I can guarantee you that Helene and Milton will be retired. I live in Tampa Bay, we got lucky with Milton, had it of direct hit Clearwater Beach instead of Siesta Key it would have caused over 500 Billion in damages, and had it of done that and not dropped to a Mid Cat 3 from a high end Cat 5 you would be seeing Milton with over 1 TRILLION USD in damages.

systems aren’t retired on strength but the amount of damage and loss of life it causes, there’s been fairly weak systems like stan in 2005 and erika in 2015 that have caused significant loss of life
