To me, the Vulture is more Argo than it is Drake. No Drake vibes at all. All they need to do is swap the brand name on the Vulture and that oversized, flying lawn mover, the Dragonfly, and one gets two perfectly Argo-looking and Argo-feeling craft.

It's worth pointing out that the Suylen has references to it being an Esperia ship within game files rather than a Gatac ship. It could be a mistake, as what we know about the ship makes more sense if it's a Gatac ship, but we'll have to wait and see.

But that Gatac Railen also looks interesting, but I do not think that the big Fury looking thing is the Railen, I was checking it on the website, and it doesn't look like that in flight or landing position... I hope it's a bigger version of the Mirai Fury with quantum drive, that would be sick. I am for sure getting the Storm, hopefully they will release a version with life insurance as well.

The first ship a Starter ? You mean a Starter-Ship ? Its massive. In the last Screenshot you can see a human compared to the ship. This ship is compareable in Size to a Reclaimer, the boxes out there looks like cargo units or maybe cargo space for mining. I only see two turrets right now and this seems a bit low for it to be a combat ship that size. So its most likley trading/mining/salvaging stuff. It looks neat, i like it. I need to get my hands on the new tumbril tank. The design looks sick.

Sorry should have clarified those concept pictures are of the Gatac Railen! That's a much larger cargo ship, but this "starter" ship is also made by the same manufacturer and supposedly is a starter according to those who've gotten some information early. The tumbril tanks are going to be awesome, I think they're going to be a lot faster than people expect!

I don’t even have a PC to play this game but I’ve been watching KZbin vids on it for years now lol I love the transformer alien ships I always told myself I’d start playing when that bigger one came out or when the buccaneer got a little faster/tougher. Glad the C1 got a cargo upgrade but I truly don’t see the beauty everyone else sees in it, personally I wish it woulda gone to the Zeus ES but other than the C1 having a massive footprint the C1 seems more useful

Yeah, well we all have our own personal blueprint for how we envisage SC, yet its your approach on how you want to play the SC game that can at least give you many more options than the average player, and then those concerns seem less prevalent. You dont need a PC to plan ahead, if you do that, then you can have a solid start, especially if you plan on staying for the long haul, with an investment up to concierge level...if you are looking to the future that is, you'll never have to spend another $.after.

Lots of awesome info as usual! I'm very excited for this year's IAE, I've got the Storm and am going to pick up the Spirit C1 as my daily driver. Glad to hear they made it better, I hadn't heard that yet. Crusader is my favorite manufacturer and was recently told it was built on Christian values which being a Christian myself is something I like. The Spirit is a great addition to the lineup.

CIG stated they are working on RSI capital ships first, I realize it's a long shot but I really hope we see the Orion soon. There is nothing holding it back now and they recently added mining support for it with the big mining changes a couple patches ago. What do you think? Will they get the Orion out next after the Polaris?

If I had to pick one, the RSI Miner. This new ship might be exactly what I'm looking for. The Orion is too large (I don't think I could support it properly), and I'd love to have just a little bit more functionality and flexibility than the MOLE offers.

A few months ago they made a distinction between "primary" tractor beams and "secondary" ones. The called the reclaimer one a secondary and said that it would be weaker because of that? Not sure how it'll translate now of course haha

my org has done some testing and the reclaimer tractor beam has shorter range but can pick up way heavier things, it also can remove turrets (remote and manned) off ships like the Hammerhead, however these aren't compatible with anything else

Why are more ships not shipped with better viewing/windows, ships like the Corsair and many more are very unappealing as daily drivers due to their closed and restricted external viewing options. Possibly it take away from the 400i/600i/Pheonix core selling point.

Storm is way too wide. No real manufacturer would make its scout tank the same size as a main battle tank. CIG obviously did not want people to be hauling a scout tank in their Cutty, but it is just laughably large. The Argo SRV having no weapons is also ridiculous. CIG gives guns to racing ships and medical ships and bicycles. But ships that are hauling the most cargo in the galaxy get a few twin sets of pea shooters while a similar sized luxury ship gets s5 weapons to go with its couple twin sets of pea shooters. And missiles, the luxury ship gets missiles. To protect millions in cargo you are forced to hire help. SRV can haul cargo ships loaded with valuable cargo, but again, zero protection. I know they are doing it to force co-op gameplay but at least make the turrets on the Hull series have some usefulness. Twin s3 is not doing much to a target. Make them quads like the Hammerhead but you can keep them s3 as a compromise. SRV needs a pilot turret under the nose or something since it is only a single person ship. Surprised they are making another large mining ship for RSI. They already have a very large RSI mining ship. It will at least give a little more variety since we only have 1 small ship miner and 1 medium ship miner in game now. I think an inbetween from Prospector and Mole would have been better. Mole requires 3 people, prospector only has 1 seat. So an inbetween sized ship that has a s2 laser like the Mole, but in between cargo capacity and has a co-pilot seat with remote turret controls for the mining head.
