The change on the different focal points is like magic! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! It's cool. Just take notice to the fact that some parts can look a bit sharp. In this example, the edge of the table isn't blurred. You can probably fix this by blurring the alpha map (depth pass) before using it.

Shadow pass produce the image of your shadows, refraction pass produce the refractions, etc.. Wow, that was really helpful, you've read the names out loud and used them in a sentence...

People like you are the reason we can’t have nice things. Instead of leaving a sarcastic comment, if you have no appreciation to show for the free useful tutorials then just stfu. His channel is one of the most detailed and educational channels I’ve stumbled across when it comes to rendering!

Hey Will! Just a suggestion, I think you’re using a big monitor so it would be nice if you scale up windows UI a bit when screen recording! Especially helpful for mobile phone viewing!

hello Will. excuse my English I created a wine label and put it in the bottle. I put the different label workings in the list, diversify them into "add label". and therefore I have on the label, a basic level (colored textured paper background) then another level of the written in relief paint, and finally a level only the writings in embossed gold foil. It is possible during the rendering or psd render phase to get back the separate render processing layers .. rendered paper level, rendered paint layer and rendered sheet all separate. obviously without using the clown. I hope to make myself understood. thank you
@WillGibbons2 жыл бұрын
Hey! Yeah, sorry for the late response. In the render passes you should see an option to include labels. If each layer of your label is an additional material applied as a label, it should work.

Great video ,I use a nice trick for depth maps other then depth of field is light rays or god rays and fog ,specially outdoor to give some atmospheric affects or dust . BTW I hope ita not weird but U remind me of Maynard James kenen from Tool .

How did it feel to make a render of render passes? Just for that fact alone I'm giving it a like.

sir can you suggest any site or youtube channel where we can learn the basics of photoshop for product renderings. (post-processing)
@WillGibbons2 жыл бұрын
Not really. I mean, I don't know of any off the top of my head! You'd need to search. I know piximperfect has great Photoshop tutorials. Most of the compositing I've learned has been in Fusion Studio, not Photoshop.

Hi Will, One question regarding depth pass, do you know if there is a way to create depth in reflections? I could easily paint the depth in the reflections of a flat surface like a window, but now I need depth in reflections of a car, which is way too complex... maybe you have a special trick for that one :D great content !
@WillGibbons Жыл бұрын
Sorry, I can't say I fully understand what you're asking.

@@WillGibbons aha sorry... imagine a scene where there is a mirror. The mirror reflects the scene. The lens blur in Photoshop is set to focus on the mirror. The scene gets blurred outside the mirror, but stays sharp in the mirror. That's because depth pass does take in consideration reflections. So I was wondering if there is a way to activate reflection data within the depth pass. I ended up render the DOF in Keyshot, but when you have time pressure depth pass is much faster.

Keyshot has resolution preset bugs imo....and is there any way to use ram as well cpu fully in keyshot rendering ....since my ram is nearly idle while my cpu handles the load....
@WillGibbons2 жыл бұрын
RAM has no impact on rendering performance. I believe the answer to your question is no.
@tgs17662 жыл бұрын
Your opinion is exactly that, not a fact. Try to remember that.
