It is such a blessing to be working for a company that puts not only "customer service" as it is usually practiced but actually SERVING THE CUSTOMER (whom we call a 'guest' to emphasize the hospitality aspect) before everything else. When you stop and truly value each guest, and use specific language and hospitality practices to demonstrate that, it's no longer just a job in just another restaurant -- it's a unique chance to value and serve every person who walks through the door.

I applaude the sentiment. Every life, and that means "everyone" has a life story. If living peacefully and compassionately with each other is our goal, listening for - inquiring about - the story of people with whom we disagree is a good way to get there. Open heart, open mind, open hand.

This video put tears in my eyes and even more love in my heart. That little girl made me think of all of the innocent children suffering here & around the world. The true meaning of life is to leave this world better off (less hate, killing, pollution etc) for the next generation (ALL of our children). USMC VN Vet but foremost, a Christian husband & father trying to do my best every day, second by second because life is very short and my true success will be via the love I receive and give.

Thank you Bo Eason for sharing. The especially touching 1 for me was the widow who would have been celebrating her 50th Wedding Anniversay; my Dad died back in November & it would have been Mum & Dad's 55th Wedding Anniversary on 2nd March. I also related to the little girl whose Mother died in child birth & feeling rejected by her Dad ~ although I had both my parents, I was hospitalised for 3 months round my 1st birthday & spent over 40 years feeling unwanted, unloved & not good enough.

What a fantastic video. It hardly seems like a commercial. Chick-fil-A is a very, very different kind of company. The irony is that there is a person in the cow-suit who is treated like a person. While at other fast-food restaurants, there are people in people-suits that are treated like cattle. Kudos to Chick-fil-A for expending the resources to make this video and to help create an atmosphere that respects people. No surprise - it is a Christian company.

There is a major difference between judging and following the rules. The Word of God is very clear that approving of homosexuality puts a person in the same category as those who do the action. (end of Romans 1). It is not judgement to refuse to engage in a forbidden act or to disapprove of one. It is, rather, knowing right from wrong and following the rules and the facts of the Creator.

I manage a franchise restaurant, so I'm very familiar with the way the model operates. What YOU have to understand is that if a franchisee violates corporate policy or the law, corporate has the right and responsibility to revoke the franchisee's license (As an example, we'd lose our license for something as minor as using the wrong floor tiles). No such action was taken in these cases, therefore Chick-Fil-A corporate tacitly approved of the inappropriate practices of its franchisees.

(cont.) so I want to be like Christ, who humbly laid down His life for us sinners. Compared to God, we're all on the same level. In the Bible, Ephesians 2:8-9 says: "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." So, if I end up treating people better, it's God's doing, not mine. So Mr. Black (guessing from your sn), thank you for voicing your thoughts, & I hope you come to know Christ.

Their will always be those that take the Bible out of context who know nothing of the history, the culture, and God. They go through life making 'assumptions' that they confuse with 'truth/facts'. It is important to understand this video is simply stating that every life is important and that all people have their own struggles. That doesn't condone immoral behavior or actions, but reminds us to have empathy, and be concerned for those around us.

His oft-quoted words offer wise counsel: “Be kind. Everyone you meet is carrying a heavy burden.” Ian MacLaren was the pseudonym or pen name of Rev. John Watson. Wikipedia has an entry for MacLaren. Disclaimer, I don't intend to spark an argument. I can see where you're coming from. I believe in Christ--meaning, I see that I'm full of sin. In actions, motives, attitude, speech, thoughts, I am self-centered, unloving, conceited & more. I'm not better than people who aren't Christians. Christ Himself taught against arrogance & LIVED OUT humility-He extended Himself to a Samaritan woman & tax collectors, who in that time/culture were shunned. He came to save people who rejected, beat, killed Him
