Efficient, good feet, good decision making. Did everything he is supposed to but you can’t win when RB Corp fumbles 2x. One of which was on the potential game winning drive. 8 penalties doesn’t fly much either. At least two of those killed drives.

From what I’ve noticed Mac Jones is a great addition to the pats. He operates the offense very well getting multiple different targets involved doesn’t seam to force throws which is great and he is incredible with throwing the ball under pressure. So far it looks like he could be on track for ROTY imo. Very very impressed

Behind the LOS: 5/6 - 23 yards From 0-9 yards: 19/23 - 153 yards - 1TD From 10-19 yards: 4/7 - 75 yards From 20+ yards: 1/2 - 25 yards Good debut. Awesome on 3rd downs vs the 3rd down defense last season. Killed it vs pressure and blitzes too. He might be lucky to be in NE with that OL and good enough run game with great coaching but he's not wasting it at all. Kudos to him. I'm very impressed with Mac Jones' poise and demeanor. Slap a 16 on him and a 49rs uniform. There's a lot of similarities between "Cool Mac" and the legendary "Cool Joe".

1st of all we only threw past 30 yds like once all game...but the training wheels are coming off as you can see we passed a lot more 2nd half but Still Josh mcdaniels clearly kept the plays simple for the rookie. We will open up the passing game for sure but we also need guys to get open and create separation down field and as you know we dont have any burners at WR. Nelson agholor is fast but Miami has a top 10 secondary with fast corners themselves. If you reallly think about it playing against a fast top 10 secondary with a AVERAGE (NOT FAST) wide receiver core you should certainly be throwing the ball short/mid it is the smartest and best pass attack for the situation. It would literally be stupid to try and throw deep. As far as his legs he is faster than brady. Thats fast enough.

BB (and Pats fans in general) keep ignoring the fact that the best teams in today’s NFL have explosive offenses. That’s not a knock on Mac Jones per say, but you can’t keep expecting to keep winning scoring ~20 points/game, with no real downfield threat. That philosophy simply won’t work any longer. Brady may have done it, but he’s the 🐐, unfair position to put Jones into IMO

Pats got themselves a steal with Mac. I'm impressed despite the loss. He look like a vet out there making big throws under pressure. Minor rookie mistakes here and there. Overall If Bill actually invested in better WR. This game would've end up in a Pats win. To many wide open drops by the receivers. Reminds me of when Colts went from a HOF Peyton to Luck another HOF. Going from Brady to Mac seems like a good deal. The Pats need to give Mac better weapons. Don't do him like they did Brady. Brady would've stay in NE had Bill invested in WR.
