What the 90s had going for it was the enthusiasm for the future (The 21st Century). People who experience dial-up Internet were aware that High-Speed Internet was just around the corner and all of the crap we take for granted today was a reality just about to happen. Then 9/11 happened and more and more people became cynical and philosophically weaponized against one another. Today we have a bunch of shallow "movements" on the Left, the Right, and inbetween vying for everybody's mental real estate. For about 2 months after I met this girl back in 2009 that lived in the same building as me, I would wake up and this song would be in my head so I'd sing it in the shower, apparently quite loudly because after 2 months I was outside talking with a friend and she pulled up in her Jeep with this song playing. Before this day I had been too nervous to talk to her but she walked up and said "I used to love that song but I forgot about it until I heard someone singing it every day and it's been stuck in my head." Long story short, just wanna say thanks for the assist in an amazing 3 month relationship that only ended because I felt her career was taking her places that I would only hold her back on. The things we do for love can't really be explained but I now have a beautiful wife and son so life couldn't be better.
