It felt like that even in the UK! Look back on TV shows it just always sunny and glowy. Cali in the 80s through 90s to the early 2000s might be the best place and time in history.

I'm only commenting this because I want it on public record: This is a perfect pop song. There are multiple hooks throughout the entire track. The vocals get stuck in your head. The guitar riff gets stuck in your head. "Shut the door, baby. Shut the door, baby." gets stuck in your head. Pop perfection. I can't think of another pop song this well crafted. I've said my peace.

What the 90s had going for it was the enthusiasm for the future (The 21st Century). People who experience dial-up Internet were aware that High-Speed Internet was just around the corner and all of the crap we take for granted today was a reality just about to happen. Then 9/11 happened and more and more people became cynical and philosophically weaponized against one another. Today we have a bunch of shallow "movements" on the Left, the Right, and inbetween vying for everybody's mental real estate. Everyone's pissed off and angry at the other guy for their lives being shitty.

Being 15, not having to worry about life just where we’re we going to hang out in a friends house, basement to just chill and kick it. Man I miss those days. @smokinbones16184 жыл бұрын
For about 2 months after I met this girl back in 2009 that lived in the same building as me, I would wake up and this song would be in my head so I'd sing it in the shower, apparently quite loudly because after 2 months I was outside talking with a friend and she pulled up in her Jeep with this song playing. Before this day I had been too nervous to talk to her but she walked up and said "I used to love that song but I forgot about it until I heard someone singing it every day and it's been stuck in my head." Long story short, just wanna say thanks for the assist in an amazing 3 month relationship that only ended because I felt her career was taking her places that I would only hold her back on. The things we do for love can't really be explained but I now have a beautiful wife and son so life couldn't be better.
