NL making sharp comments about the openings while knowing zero openings is insane content. I wonder if he'll ever figure out that the reason the explorer shows the names of all these obscure lines is because none of his moves fit into the main lines not because his opponent is coming at him with insane prep.

If you analyze after a loss, the loss becomes longer, if you analyze after a win, the win lingers, that’s why after a win you take a little break, bask in it, after a loss you immediately go next.

at 12:00 you missed a common pre-movable mate at move 50. it goes: 50. Kd3 Rd2+ 51. Kc3 Qd4+ 52. Kb3 Rb2+ 53. Ka3 Qb4#. all of white's moves are forced along that 3 rank and all of black's moves are pre-movable as this pattern mates whether the queen is last to check or rook. it's as simple as ladder mate, you just gotta know it. the pattern is easy to recognize too, it's like a slinky or something

12:02 I'm gonna pretend I know chess by providing (not so) inquiring minds a lesson/checkmate pattern. _Some_ may not know this one. When you got the enemy king(b3) trapped on a file/rank between your rook(d2) and queen(d4) two squares from both, simply keep the king trapped on it file/rank as you alternate checks with the rook (Rb2+) and queen (Qb4#) until you deliver check mate. The rook moves 2 squares to deliver check and is protected on by the queen on the diagonal. Then the queen moves 2 squares to deliver check and is protected by the rook in a straight line. Everything is a check so al long as there is nothing interrupting the path (squares being occupied or threatened) you can premove the entire thing. This has been your needlessly convoluted chess lesson of the day presented by yours truly.

NL, your logic and thinking are solid during your games but you just seem to miss some obvious counters that cost you games. I think you really need to take some more lessons from Levy. Have him coach you for several games. Even if it's you doing everything he tells you, you'll still learn, and later you can use those lessons in your solo games. Please bring Levy back once in a while.
