But the design isn't _identical_ to the books, is it? What the video is saying is that, allegedly, Pumpkinhead's Return to Oz design was made from an early Jack Skellington design. Which is probably not true either, but the video does specify "alleged appearances".

Jack pumpkin head was a character from the Oz books way before Jack skeleton existed, that egg yoke could just be a reference to what has to come in Coraline, and the bubble one just sounds, and seems like some fake easter egg that people say is real just for views.

Tim Burton based the character of Jack Skellington in "A Nightmare Before Christmas" (1993) on Jack Pumpkinhead (aka Jack, the Pumpkin King) from "Return to Oz" (1985), so it's definitely not JS making a cameo in RtO...!

I feel like a specific coloured ribbon around the bucket handle would be much better. The kid can have whatever bucket they want (because not all buckets are pumpkins) and gets the point across of social needs or allergies. I have froze up at a door once, and the adult was standing there waiting for me to say "trick or treat". Half of the time, my sister had to go up to the door and get candy for me.

Technically the skeleton in James and the Giant Peach wasn't Jack. It was his father, John Haymitch Skellington, who passed the throne of Pumpkin King to his son several centuries ago to terrorize the seven seas. John is responsible for most sailor's tales of ghost ships, sea monsters and even some famous pirates were actually just John himself in disguise. Mr. Centipede's exclamation isn't an inadvertently accurate affectation of speech, he's correctly identifying a member of Halloween royalty. Being a scary creature himself, he has ties to Halloween Town and would recognize "a Skellington" as he famously puts it.

Also, did you know that the model for Jack Skeleton had around 400 heads sculpted to imitate each emotion possible?
