i feel like they can bring her back. just with the caviat that she cant do extreme level reality warping without suffering sever mental damage and risk becoming a villain again. like... i can crack the door open or look thru the keyhole... but any more and ima go in that room. and as for thor. his power set is explained very poorly in both comics and movies. the main problem is... they do not want to explain clearly what a "god" is. In the first couple phases they said plainly that "gods", at least those from asgard, are not gods but aliens or more accurately, interdimensional beings. Just life forms from another part of the cosmos. Life forms that naturally have ( i always use this old comic card power scaling so forgive me but its just a reference point. ) a 6 or 7 out of 10 on the strength and durability scale. They have said that much on the Shield show which i know isnt canon but was trying to be so they stuck to the mcu rules and canon for a long time. Ok. so if an asgardian janitor is as strong or stronger then spiderman, why is Thor stronger then Hulk. This is the issue they dont EVER explain. The Odinforce or the Borforce or the Thorforce... basically the omnipotent deus ex machina power that can seemingly do ... anything... which is more like a god then an alien. After years of wondering about this, and also being a massive mythology buff in general i came to this conclusion. A god is a term that relies on perspective. an ant sees us as gods, if it could perceive such things... so an early human saw thor as a god. but he isnt a god. he is a member of a race that has set abilities and levels of those abilities. He just so happens to be a royal member of this race and in this race's culture the Leader/King/whatever they call it, has an ability to control, manipulate, and seemingly generate from within, an energy ( dark magic in the mcu or is that something different ) that can do many things... most likely due to it having reality warping properties. The odinforce was passed to thor after his death and so thor NOW has his natural asgardian abilities tho HIGHLY amplified by being a member of the royal line, his afinity for lightning ( which totally fucks up my theory but in the comics this is all the hammer, not him being the god of thunder. in my head thats just human titles put apon the asgardians. Odin can use the hammer to call thunder and storms same as thor. Conversely... if hes the god of thunder in the mcu, why not have it be a sound based ability, and also also if hella is goddess of death... why doesnt she weild death... instead of magic obsidian weapons. see how that god stuff just messes up a clean explainable thing .), and now he has the lineal power passed down in his family. That power he doesnt know about because apparently odin didnt prepare thor at ALL for the day he would rule. like at all. Thor figures out he can cast enchantments in thor 4. And i forsee we will see him being able to do crazy shit on the fly and explain it away with the Thorforce until the day that Odin inevitably comes back.
