Very nice way to install the awning. The fact that it can get removed so easy is my favorite. No vibration noise?

I love how easy it is the remove. And works on both sides. No noise. Its pretty rigid once the pins are in.

These are pretty cheap to buy . I have ARB 8x8 awnings on my vanagons .You do have to undo one or two velcro straps (on the low side) and lower one pole so water runs off easily otherwise it will pool and stretch the fabric. I typically do this before going to bed. Always stake it too. I've seen enough awnings fly over vanagons. I weathered a hurricane at the Firefly music fest in 2015 with my awning out

put a wider roof rack on and longer then you can carry stuff and have the awning secure

I definitely would like a different roof rack in the future, but to your point, I can do both of those things with this setup right now!
