I modded my TE with two layers foam, lubed the stabilizers, and put o rings on my keys and it completely transformed the experience. I haven't dealt the v2, but I think the te having .5 less pre travel and 10g less force required for actuation makes it better for gaming still, and with the mods, it feels great to type on

@@justaemptymall 2mm thick EVA foam, o ring dampeners, and GPL 205G0 grease/lube. for the foam, layer one were exact cutouts to fit into the chassis. Layer 2 was a blanket sheet covering the whole chassis with holes poked for the mount/rest points. I put o rings on ever single key cap, and double o rings on the big keys (enter, space, shift etc). I lubed the stablizers on the big keys as well.

bro a question. To lower / raise the volume with the f2 and f3 keys you must necessarily press the fn key or by pressing only f2 or f3. thanks I look forward to yours

So out of the box yes you would need to press FN to control media. However in Razer Synapse software you can change these buttons to just control media without pressing FN.

Key wobble is the only reason I returned Alex pro tkl and kept my mini with red switches. I already ordered my v2 tkl because I did enjoy the function row and no fn key for arrow using in no videos games

I completely agree. I really enjoyed my Apex TKL. But the Huntsman V2 has the best switches out of box I've tried in terms of wobble.

I will admit that it takes time to get used to a 60%. I personally use a TKL board myself, since I use arrows, and F row keys frequently.

The problem i have with my TE 1 reds is that i barely rest a finger and it actuates so it makes typing a horrible experience. Debating on getting the clicky V2 TE version but i dont like clicky sounds for late at night typing

That was my biggest issue with the TE. I’m glad to say the V2 has much improved that aspect of the switches. I don’t run into that problem much anymore.

For my money it would be between the K70 TKL and the V2 TKL. I love both boards. I do prefer the V2 switches just a little bit more, however I miss the media controls keys on the K70. I would say if you use media controls a lot and want dedicated keys go with the K70. But if you’re going for a clean look I’d go with the V2.

My biggest concern I guess is that the Mini has little inscriptions on the sides showing what the keys alternately do - like F7 is 7. So if the keycaps need to be replaced, you no longer see those. I have the Mini right now and am going to buy a TKL just because of this. The small size is so nice but the keycaps are irritating this way.

Question: does the 8,000Hz polling rate function works on your Huntsman V2 TKL while using a 3rd party USb Type-C cable?

I’ve been testing with other cables and there are some 3rd party cables that I do notice some stuttering while on 8K. I would assume to get true 8K polling you’d need to use the cable included, or a cable that’s rated for 8K.

Yo nice video my man! You said at 10:21 that the V2 feels so much better than the mini, but I tried the mini today in the store and RELLY enjoyed it. Is the difference really that big? If I'm going linear switches, I need some strong feedback telling my fingers that I've reached the "bottom". This is what the mini gave me, and I hope the V2 will as well. Could you confirm that the V2 doesn't feel "soggy" for someone who likes the feel of the mini? Btw, what song is playing in the background? That joint FIRE!! haha Thanks :)

No, I wouldn't that the V2 switches are a dramatic change from the Mini. If you like the Mini then you've pretty much felt the V2. The bottom out on both the Mini and the V2 are pretty much the same. Also this song was free on the Bensound website, and it's called Endless Motion.

@@silviocurral788 It sounds and feels amazing so far! Personally can't tell the difference from the feel of the mini and the v2, so I'm really pleased. Only downside is the sound of the stabilizers, especially the spacebar. The "rattly" sound is quite noticeable due to it being a big contrast to the soft sounding keys. Can definitely be lubed, so shouldn't be too big of a problem. I also can't seem to get past 130wpm no matter how hard I try. Fingers tend to accidentally press keys when typing fast. This is probably just due to personal preference though, as I prefer more low profile keyboards. Overall, really happy with the purchase! No regrets so far :)

I cant decide which one i have to take. Im using it only for gaming fps and third person shooters. I want the fastest and the lightest switches but if it is too much woble i think will ruin my experience while gaming. What is your advice which one i should take is the V2 gonna be fast like i love but in the same time stable or should i just go with TE just pure speed?

I would recommend the V2 TKL. I’ve been using it since the day I got it, and it’s my main board. I also play mainly FPS games, and I can say I love this boards speed, stability, and 8,000Hz polling rate. Out of all the boards I have, I always go back to the V2 TKL.

No the V2 reds don’t feel mushy and I would say there is a very big difference between the feel of them vs the TE V1 switches. I will say the TE does actuate faster because the switch is so light, but I prefer the V2 switches.

Honestly the new V2 is just a modded V1. If you’re happy with the sound and the feel of the switch I wouldn’t. The only new feature on the V2 is a 8K polling rate which I didn’t notice a difference when testing.

That’s going to depend on what you like. If you want the F row and arrow keys. I’d go with the V2 TKL. If you want more space on your desk and no F row or arrow keys. Than I’d go with the Mini.
