I just got my first bike in September and if I hadn't found your videos I would still be completely lost as a rider. Thanks Coach!!!

Having attended a class with Rich a couple of years ago... these "simple" drills are so key and have helped me improve as a rider. The better I get at the basics, the more I realize how much I suck at the seemingly simple stuff. The only thing standing in the way of getting better is yourself. Thanks, Rich, for helping me understand how much improvement is needed and showing the path to self-improvement!

Love that!! Thanks for sharing!! Hope you’ve been improving!

I'm 5,5 learning how to slip clutch on tight trails. It's a challenge but I'm learning. Having my bike suspension done at 707 and shortening my gearing to 13 front tooth

Great video as always man! What do you think about making a video about handling sharp turns in a steep downhill situation. For example turns such as those that we tackle with switchbacks when we go uphill. I usually struggle a lot with them when I need to go back the same way and I don't have enough room to turn, I would bet that many people also have problems with those

Rich what are your thoughts on using a clever lever that widens the friction zone and reduces lever pull. I have been using it for a while on my excf 500 and like it but was interested in hearing your thoughts on if it’s beneficial for riding. Thank you for all the great videos they are excellent and informative

Any suggestions for keeping your hands from getting very stiff while working the clutch constantly? I seem to struggle with my hands getting tired very quickly. (I am a heavy duty mechanic and like to think that my hands are strong)

Im on a crf 250L .My first bike. I imagine I might want to keep a set of clutch plates in storage. Will be practicing this. Thanks!
@IRCTireUSAMoto13 күн бұрын
Maybe on that bike. Beta KTM gas gas Husky don’t wear clutches at all. 200 Hours on plates

I'm a big guy on a 250 dual sport. I'm hoping 20hp and 20 torque is enough for drills like this. I've gone up some decent hills but nothing crazy. I need more knowledge and more seat time off road. Been on black top for 20 years. I'm drawn to the trails at 42! 😅

How would you do this drill on the electric bike without clutch?
@IRCTireUSAMoto13 күн бұрын
I suppose you could use very steady throttle to allow the machine to roll back and try not to use your brakes. Maintaining a tractable rear tire would be the focus.

Sensei, I have a question: Is there a Tai Chi move that would make a grown man crap his pants and not know why?

I’m not gonna lie to you Rod, that move does exist, but you’re not ready for it yet…
