@Gregory Marshall Also, two more additional changes should have been made. 1) It was important for everyone who was fighting to *bear witness to Voldemort's death,* otherwise they'd just have to take Harry's word for it! They should have kept the finale as the books did, Harry and Tom circling eachother in the Great Hall *surrounded by witnesses and spectators* as opposed to off on their own like in the movies, when Harry implored Tom to _"try a little love and remorse"_ as he's seen the frightening remains of Voldemort's mangled soul. 2) *Voldemort should have been killed as he did in the books;* nothing spectacular or noteworthy. He just fell backwards in a heap, limp and lifeless... Completely unremarkable. His worst fear was dying a mediocre death ☠️ which is precisely what we should have seen, as opposed to being "Thanos snapped" and crumbling into dust flying away in the wind.

In the memory where Snape berates Harry he's also told by Dumbledore that "you see what you expect to see, Severus". Harry at this moment was at a low point with no hope with all the death that he have seen in the fight and he could not conjure a Patronus and even welcomed being consumed by the dementors when Ron and Hermione's Patronus faded away. But When Luna, Ernie and Seamus helped them with their own, Luna said "That's right, Harry. come on think of something happy" to which he replied vainly "Something happy?" Then Luna said "We're all still here,we're still fighting. Come on, now" A great moment for Luna as she always had this demeanour even in the darkest times, also a call back to Harry teaching D.A. the Patronus charm, and now his "students" are teaching him how to do it again.

There is one scene, that I absolutely hate and that's how lame was Voldemort's death compare to the book. In the book it was a deep scene in the Great Hall, where Harry explains all Voldemort's mistakes to him in front of everyone (even tho flexing about his ownership of the Elder Wand, when everyone sees you, wasn't necessary). And Harry even tried to prevent him from making a fatal mistake. This shows, that despite his reputation in Wizarding Britain and people's fear to the point of not saying his name, he was still a regular man, who can make missteps. And he dies just like a normal human being. Just a corpse and nothing else. In the movie it was just another generic Avada Kedavra- Expelliarmus clash with no substance and witnesses. And Voldemort just got hit by Thanos Snap for no reason, like he is some epic dude.

Exactly! He should've been proven to be really No.Big.Deal. like in the book. Instead, we get a version of Saruman being killed by Wormtongue in the LOTR books (have NOT seen those movies). It ruined Harry's character arc too-no "try some remorse" as you mentioned. And afterward there was no celebration, no everyone running to congratulate Harry, no going upstairs later and Harry wondering if Kreacher could bring him a sandwich; in the movie it was like they'd lost . . . total downer, but at least there was the epilogue.

I think it’s just the opposite, the battle in the movie leading up to Voldemort’s final defeat was awesome! It was just as it was meant to be with Harry and Voldemort actually dueling around the castle they both called home, rather than Harry and Voldemort circling around each other waiting for the other to make a move while everybody gasped and pointed in the corners like really? and how insanely stupid was it that Harry told a hundred people that he was the master of the most powerful wand in existence? In the book it actually was just how you described, a generic Avada Kedavra-Expelliarmus clash with no substance and like Voldemort said, Harry didn’t win because he was a better wizard, he won because people greater than him had paved the way. The only reason he became the Elder wand’s master was purely by mistake, if not for that he would not have won the duel.
@melissacooper42823 жыл бұрын
@@krisynthiagomez5883 You have a point there. It was more exciting to watch Harry and Voldermort duel in the movie better than in the book. @@intergalactic92 You prefer it because you didn't understand how it worked in the book. You're wrong when you say that Voldemort lost his soul when he failed to kill Harry. That's not true, he SPLITED his soul once more when he did that, one part of his soul was attached to Harry, and Voldemort kept the other part. No one can live without at least a bit of soul inside them. That's why the movies messed it up, it's not enough to destroy the Horcruxes.

One difference you didn't mention was that when Griphook asked for the sword, in the book they decided that their way round it would be to agree to let him have it but be careful to avoid saying exactly WHEN he could, whereas in the film Harry simply says 'I'm still working on that part'

The movie's treatment of Bellatrix and Voldemort's deaths have bugged me all these years. They were in fact regular human beings, and they died as such. Why the disintegration treatment? I can only imagine it was because they didn't want to show more dead bodies for any extension of time.

Maybe that would have got it a higher age rating per dead body or mature subject, so they didn't want to risk it? Though I'm sure they could have found a way around it anyway.

Let's show Morgan some love🙌🏾 the amount of time and dedication into making these videos is awesome. Also, the battles in the book was better, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. And let me also add that the movie addition dragon killing Gringotts workers and the bridge blowing up were good

@@scaranvostok3637 My personal opinion people saying Ron Weasley was done dirty in the movies.. for someone who has read the books.. I completely disagree when people say that.. now when people say Ginny Weasley was done dirty in the films I completely agree! But Ron Weasley in films in my opinion he doesn’t get enough credit and people say he doesn’t have enough stand out moments or his character to shine I completely disagree so while yes I would of added more to his character but I think the performance by Rupert Grint made up for that because he played Ron Weasley so incredibly well and was still a great loyal friend to Harry and Hermione and he was the glue to the Trio and kept them together! I didn’t mind the comedy their added to his character it wasn’t just butt of jokes like Finn from the Star Wars sequel trilogy.. Ron in movies was fine really good just not perfect but you could say same thing about Harry and Hermione you can nitpick anything from any character in these movies.. just my opinion compare to some other books to movie adaptation Harry Potter was done perfect and I don’t think the TV series is going to capture that magic! Now, I'm actually fine with Harry and Voldemort's duel in the movie as I thought it added more tension. But I would've changed one little thing. Instead of landing in the courtyard like in the film, they instead crash into the Great Hall. They would then have their conversation just like in the book and it would pretty much end the same way.
