The twins don't seriously get enough credit. @@ashhabimran239Definitely not my interpretation. I wouldn’t characterise them as bullies. Like Snape and Draco? How? Who did they maliciously bully? @@ashhabimran239they comforted and helped other students. They were pranksters not bullies. Somewhat similar to how I grew up with my 5 older brothers and one big sister. I was the baby. We always played pranks and joked all the time. It’s what livened up our otherwise shitty childhood. We are now between 45 and 31 years of age and we get along great. It’s a blast getting together. It’s a family dynamic that unless you’re a part of you wouldn’t understand. My younger sister 8 years never was a part of it as she didn’t grow up with the older ones they were already married when she was born or about to be (already adults) so she has always been somewhat uptight and gets frustrated at our jokes even when are aren’t even aimed towards her. She was able to have a more spoiled childhood then myself and older brothers. My hub is still in awe on how we get along 😅 he loves it and thinks my bros are hilarious

@@fumuso it's probably safe to say that Snape can find some warmth with Lily's memory, where as George can only feel the warmth of Fred's memory for a very fleeting moment before his focus fails and becomes outright dispair. Snape is able to focus on Lily and warmth and love he had for her as well as what it felt like to him to be with her, where as George cannot help but be overwhelmed by extreme grief
@echoplots80583 жыл бұрын
@@nicholasdoss3312 It's a good point. But everyone is different, and I'm pretty sure that rule isn't set in stone. Lily was a light in the dark for Snape's otherwise miserable life and continued to be after her death, so it also makes sense he shared her patronus. George had a much happier life that was stripped away from him. Snape's memory with Lily gave him hope, while George's memory of Fred only caused him despair. Also it just hit me that James' patronus was a stag and Lily's was a doe. I never noticed that.

"Fred didn't deserve to die" - this is exactly why his death is so important to the story. A good story isn't about "kill the characters I hate and save the ones I love" (as I can read in the comment section). F&G are the bright light of the books - they always make you smile because they are witty, funny, they make everything look so easy, and even in the darker moments they show how caring they are. By killing Fred and killing George's spirit in the process, JKR just shows how heavy the consequences of war, and her universe, are. I mean, right after Fred's death, we find out in the same chapter that Remus, Tonks and Colin Crevey, very likable characters, have been killed.

I think the main thing this video proved is that the movies didn't show enough of Fred and George's caring side. Yes, comic relief is fun and the twins were incredibly charming because the actors who played them were fantastic. But the books really added an extra layer to them by showing them as protective, smart, and good-natured towards their family even if there was some occasional bickering. It really makes Fred's death all the sadder when you consider those aspects, and the fact that he died right in front of members of his family. I do love them in the movies, but I feel they just had more heart in the books. And you did a great job showing that.

It came out of nowhere and it broke my heart. But that's how real life can be sometimes. The grief was handled well. It's good for kids to learn to process hard things through fiction before they have to face it in real life. But that's also where it's important for parents to pre-screen things for their kids, especially younger ones. Kids are different and some may be more ready for more difficult material than others are. It's up to parents to guide them through all of this. But how many of them do?

When Prof Flitwick left the swamp as a monument to Fred and George, I knew then they had an affinity for magick unlike any other character in the series. I keep thinking about them transfiguring a teddy bear into a large spider as little kids! A huge bit of magic considering how difficult the characters found even simple transfiguration in the books. Especially considering Ron's fear of spiders is only triggered when spiders move, which suggests they managed to turn an inert teddy bear into a lifelike moving spider which is very advanced magic. They were basically teenie prodigies who not having their aptitude for magic stimulated enough channelled that energy into breaking rules and experimenting with magic.
