Maybe it is an icelandic name I wouldn't know, but I do know that it's also a Swedish name. Gunnarsson is a pretty common surname here in Sweden and Gunnar is a pretty common first name here as well. Helgasund sounds like the name of a swedish town but I have never heard of the place if it even exists.

Yeah, like I say, I studied Nordic languages at uni! [Edit for clarity: The definition of “Nordic languages for that subject was “The main languages spoken in the Nordic region”. I should have mentioned that initially, my mistake!] Sorry, should have worded that part better, haha.
