I so get the emotions you felt after getting that machine! I've always had a passion for sewing and I started doing a fashion course last year. When I got some money from my family to buy my first machine with I cried for like 30 minutes! My Singer Heavy duty and I are on a great journey and I love that thing so much 💞

Well, my wife also said she would love to saw, insisted for a long time so i bought her Janome S9. Gift for few past missed birthday gifts and some future as well ^^. We mostly use it for embroidery, also for some business products. Its fascinating maschine, but it wasnt cheap. Still its priceless to see wife happy. :)

It was great for what I needed it for. I probably wanted the upgrade for the same reason you did. It works fine, but a new machine would be even better. I’m still glad I bought it. Better to have an old machine than no machine at all!

I'm originally from Slovenia and I learned how to sew and make patterns at Anselma when I was a teenager. I can't recommend them enough. If the classes aren't running because of corona, she has also put out a really easy-to-follow patternmaking book. Mariah, I really like you videos, especially the ones with your kids, since you really send positive vibes and good energy which is not fake. I'm so happy for you because my mother adore to saw but she can not afford sawing machine I remembered when I was kid she sawed it was like magic for me and I still rember that smell from machine and it's parts even mama learned me and my brother basic things and we did corrections on our trousers

Well, this is how sponsored videos should look like: a sponsor you would use anyway and can relate to. (BTW, in "Svet metraže" video you _did_ sew (some skirts for yourself, IIRC) with a large contraption with several spools of thread on the top - was that the cheap one you refer to?) Near the end of the video the light gets flickery - probably interference between the camera shutter and LED or fluorescent lamp with low persistence phosphor.

Thank you! I’m pretty selective of brands I work with so I really appreciate your feedback. Dude. I tried SO HARD to fix the flickering in post. I spent probably 2 hours researching how to fix it and nothing worked. I was recording in 60fps so I think if the lifts are on I need to record in 30 next time.

@@MariahDolenc 30fps should "even out" exposure a bit and increase the frequency of "beat" between the shutter frequency and 50Hz of light. The best approach is to either use incandescent lamps (e.g. high temperature halogen) or DC-powered LEDs. But this is the first time I noticed flicker in your videos - not all of them are filmed outdoors. Anyway, don't sweat it. Cheers!

I also just bought my first sewing machine in Liupka and it's Elna Jeans, i was gonna do their course but it got canceled this month. I've learned from yt how to use it and I've made masks, scrunchies, pin cushions etc. I'm using a old bed sheet, but don't know about fabrics to start with. Any recommendations?

Bedsheets are great! Curtains too if you have any old ones lying around. Stretchy material, like jersey, is going to be difficult because it moves so much, but easy because you can make things that don’t need a zipper etc.
