Since PieGuy has reached the TENTH season, here are the statistics for the series in general (so far), for those curious: 212 Good Episodes 91 Meh Episodes 108 ScumBob Episodes 3* Good Seasons (1, 2, and 3) *4 if you count 9B 5 Meh Seasons (4, 5, 8, 9*, and 10) *Both 9A and 9 in general 2 ScumBob Seasons (6 and 7) So a little over half of the series is good, but since it's only "a little over" (Not to mention that there are more Meh Seasons than Good or ScumBob), I think it makes the most sense to rank the entire series as "Meh".

That's pretty sad. Because during the first 3 seasons, I think it's literally one of the best cartoons of all time. Top 5 material possibly. But at this point, at least looking at the pieguy charts, a third of the entire series is garbage, and that's saying a lot when there are over 400 episodes.

Wow, that ending didn't age well in the slightest. Not only did Pieguy discontinue the "Every Episode of Spongebob Reviewed" series (along with Bottom of the Bakery) but the ending is narrated by Cosmodore who turned out to be somebody who knowingly dated a minor

I think Out of the Picture is an episode I can forgive for its darker concept since it manages to be extremely wacky and cartoony all the way through and never tried to portray it as Mr. Krabs seriously wanting to kill Squidward. Like, we see him try to but it isnt like Are You Happy Now? where they play parts of it completely straight to where it gets uncomfortable. I expected Mimic Madness to be the best episode of the season but I'm not surprised

Season 11 has a mix of 9B and 10's animation styles, toning down the expressions a bit with some more on model stuff (and now you can definitely tell when John Trabbic boarded an episode when SB has smaller eyes and a bigger mouth, personally my favorite design of him in Season 11 and very noticable in Bottle Burglars, Squid Noir, and Library Cards)

Although you supported your decisions pretty well, I feel you were a bit too harsh on the season. Especially when it came to criticizing it for rehashing. Yes, it's unoriginal, but I feel it distracts you from analyzing the episodes on their own. Personally, I really enjoyed this season, and would have given it a Good rating. Mainly because I thought the comedy was much better. However, I suppose you simply have a different taste in humor, which I can understand. I just wish you could give a little more slack to rehashed plots.

FroakieTrainer54 Him bringing up previous episodes in that one (as well as "Plankton Gets the Boot") was fine since there was a point to be made in doing so, but a lot of the time it felt like he was bringing them up for the sake of bringing them up. This happened in his season 9 review as well but it was more pronounced here. It's not so much about his own opinions, which were very well-justified and explained, but more the fact that that one aspect takes up more of his reviews than they should.

I think the main reason the later seasons have been meh is because they’ve lost that edge. The early seasons weren’t just hilarious by themselves, but they also dabbled in satire. They weren’t afraid to portray Bikini Bottom as a sometimes miserable place for people like Squidward. His resentment towards Squilliam for example.

I really liked this season and I wasn't really bothered by any of the episodes, Hell my least favorite episode of the season plankton retires is just a meh episode with some jokes I really enjoyed. Honestly I came in excited hoping that this would be a good season to Mr.Guy but came out feeling mixed. I know its his opinion and I can't be mad at that and ill admit some of these episodes were already done but some episodes like Lost and Found really shouldn't have gotten a Scumbob for the little crime they committed, I personally thought the ending with Mr.Krabs and Spongebob was sweet and the references being distracting sadly was a pretty dumb reason but I can respect your thought on it . The episodes that were un original like Plankton gets the boot also were treated too harsh because of the argument that they were done a thousand times already. (Yes I know he said he understands why some people would like it.) Im not hating on PieGuy but I just wanted to share my thoughts. I really got scared at the end though but I really think Season 11 will be a lot better to him as a bunch of the episodes are original or at least done 1000x better than what it copies. My personal favorites are MY LEG!!, Chefbob, Man Ray Returns, and really the whole season except for a few episodes. P.S I like the new Piecons :)

I loved how you brought up "Bubblestand" in "Mimic Madness", that episode not only is my favorite in terms of Season 10, but also one of the best episodes of the show. "Bubblestand" was the first episode of SpongeBob I ever seen and I'm pretty sure it was brand new when I first saw it.

With 10 and 11 being sort of mashed together, I felt like 10 was a bit of disappointment. 8 and 9 were looking up and things have kind of gone down in quality overall in season 10, however based on season 11 thus far I do think it is a better season. We'll see though.

Not at the moment. I've only seen Ink Lemonade (Because someone said it's the worst of the series. It's bad, but not the worst.) and My Leg because it's paired with it. I've also seen a tiny part of There's a Sponge in My Soup and Cuddle E Hugs. I'm going to watch the whole season when it's done. Hopefully that won't be a whole year from now.

IMO the show that did "rehash ideas" the best was Fetch! With Ruff Ruffman. Because on that show, they (almost) always did something different with the old ideas, often improving over those past episodes. Like instead of Hip-Hop, it's Ballet, and instead of being a mere crew chief, it's ACTUALLY BEING A GO-KART DRIVER, just to name a few examples.

At least with infamous episodes.....it felt like they cared. Even for the really misguided ones it felt like they cared enough to at least try to get an episode out, even if it was infuriating beyond all belief. With Sportz that's disproven within 30 seconds given that they don't even look at all sides of the box which is lazy beyond belief.

After the uptick in quality in Season 9, I gotta say I'm fairly disappointed in this season. Here we go with the ratings. Good: Mermaid Pants, Unreal Estate, Mimic Madness, Krusty Katering, Life Insurance, Trident Trouble, Sportz? , Feral Friends Meh: Code Yellow, SpongeBob's Place (only dodged ScumBob because of the "I hate people" song, I did find that part pretty funny actually), Burst Your Bubble, The Getaway, Patrick's Coupon, Out of the Picture (sorry, but for me the gags can't save this terrible story), Don't Wake Patrick ScumBob: WhirlyBrains, House Worming, Snooze You Lose, Plankton Gets the Boot, Plankton Retires, The Incredible Shrinking Sponge (Honestly this is one of the least bad ScumBob episodes of the show. It only just barely got in here because I find this episode to be ungodly boring), Lost and Found 8 Good 7 Meh 7 ScumBob Top 5: 5. Life Insurance 4. Feral Friends (I loved this when it first came out, and while I still like it, my opinion of it has degraded a bit since it aired). 3. Mermaid Pants 2. Unreal Estate 1. Mimic Madness (I bet most of you saw this one coming. And really, this is the only episode from this season that would scratch my Top 50. Unreal Estate could MAYBE hit the Top 100, though I'm not really sure). Bottom 5: 5. Lost and Found 4. House Worming 3. Snooze You Lose 2. Plankton Retires 1. WhirlyBrains If I'm being perfectly honest, I don't really like this season that much. Sure, it had a few nice episodes and may be better than the garbage that was Seasons 6 & 7 (as well as 12 later on), but it also had quite a few stinkers and the whole season just reeks of unoriginality and Ren & Stimpy vibes (which is a problem that would only become more pronounced in the next 2 seasons even if I thought Season 11 in particular was generally an improvement). It really is just very overrated and underwhelming to me, and following Season 9 just felt like a huge downgrade. I give it props for laying the foundation for the very decent and interesting Season 11, but other than that, I really can't find myself going back to it for anything aside from Mimic Madness.

Personally, I rather enjoyed this season. I didn't think it was great by any means, but I just recently finished watching the First 100 Episodes box set (seasons 1-5, making this the first time I've seen 95% of ANY of those episodes in years) and went straight to season 10 so I could actually form my own opinions on the episodes before watching Pieguy's review for once, so I'm sure the episodes did end up looking a lot better to me having not seen seasons 6-9. Having seen this this season very close to seasons 4 and 5, though, I think I actually preferred this one. It was consistently very visually interesting by SpongeBob standards (which is very important to me in animation) and it being short meant it was much easier to get through than seasons 4 and 5, which I found to be a bit of a slog after the first three. My personal favorite episodes were The Getaway, Code Yellow, Feral Friends and (of course) Mimic Madness. On the other side, I was surprised you liked Trident Trouble so much, Pie Guy, because it was actually my least favorite of the season, I was just so bored and annoyed by it. Anyway, great video as always, Pie Guy! I look forward to seeing what other shows you review in this format!

I think I have a theory on why Season 10 was so short. Correct me if this has been confirmed already: With all the staff changes that occurred after "SpongeBob You're Fired" and during "Sponge Out of Water," whether by accident or not, a bunch of people were hired with the standard 26-episode contract. At the time, there were only 15 episodes left in Season 9, so the tenth season was given 11 episodes to avoid the confusion of anyone's contract expiring mid-season. As far as Nick's lawyers are concerned, Season 10 is basically just Season 9C.
