It felt like in New 52 we had a huge amount of Batman side comics focused on his group, whereas I guess we only had Supergirl and Superboy for the Metropolis zone. I must have misremembered because I felt like there was more Superman stuff too.

Surprised there's no mention of Power Girl but good video nonetheless.

Maybe I just couldn't find it but i was rewatching the latest videos in search of the superman/batman run by jeph loeb but I couldn't find it nor do you seem to have put it in any top ten. Since just the other day I decided to read it after some research I wonder what you think about it

@@tzwhi1667 I even went to make sure. Haha They are part of the Every Superman Run video from two weeks ago. On the 12:51, 16:33, 19:10 marks. I don’t love the Loeb issues, but the second half of the series has some good stories. And the recent Worlds Finest by Waid is really good.

@@comicbelief out of modern comics only absolute batman and ultimate Spiderman have tickled my attention. I only bought one issue of ultimate Spiderman and it didn't manage to send me in one of those frenzies where I don't care about my money and buy everything. Absolute batman I'm very looking forward to but not many are happy about scott return and everyone lost faith in him after the metal stuff. The negativity in today's day is kinda affecting me. While all the older people that i know that read comics talk about their eras I'm stuck watching your videos to know about the past. I used to love bendis, i like some of tom king stuff and even mark waid but now it's like mentioning the devil. If they do a volume of the ghost machine stuff I'll try it but i guess I'll stay a "retro reader" for a little while longer. Except if white knight world's finest comes out or if jeff lemire (who you haven't made a video about yet) flash is well received. Ah and of course wolverine revenge but that's more because of capullo than hickman. Thanks for responding. Looking forward to the John byrne video and I'd like to share some more down there when it comes out and i Hope you'll respond.

@@tzwhi1667 Ultimate Spider-Man is really good, but it’s more about the character’s growth through the series than about one story in particular. Some of the best stories are all the way up there around issue 100. For a retro reader, I again recommend Waid’s latest Worlds Finest, which has stories set in the early careers of both characters. Also Kurt Busiek’s Astro City (the early years) should be right up your alley.

@@comicbelief Astro City needs more attention!! Brent Anderson is often overlooked as a storyteller!!
