Awesome vid and unique for 2023 with all the construction and reroutes. The pilot set is still in service for the R211A so you really have to be lucky to catch it. It just felt like there was a bunch of trains going slow lol but you made it :)

Yeah there was a TON of midday construction in Queens it seems like. I did this on Thursday and the news of the R211 gearbox failure came out Friday. I assume they pulled them before the news broke, though.

Since Tuesday is Halloween you should do HALLOWEEN Rockway shuttle is the H train A train to BJunction L to Myrtle- Wyckoff Ave L to 14st Union Sqaure Q to Canal st W to Cortland E to West 4 E to 42nd st N to Atlantic ave Fun fact: at 6:38AM there is an A train that leave from Rockway park 116 st so if you going to do it then you should get the Rockway shuttle by 6:20AM and take it to Beach 105 street for the A train (Just a suggestion)

Yes, that's the Rockaway Beach Branch used to be in use in the 19s, but got abandoned. And never been used. R211's ran on the abandoned Rockaway Beach Branch. And left the Rockaway Beach Branch. The LIRR used to run on the Rockaway Beach Branch.

I almost got stuck at Queens Plaza 2 weeks ago on my way back from Long Island on the LIRR and taking the E train from Sutphin Blvd and the F was across the platform waiting to be rerouted to the E line! Fortunately the E went first so I was on the E. I would rather avoid going to Roosevelt Island by tram or going into queens to take a shuttle bus! Great video GoGoSupertoe!
