I'm surprised no one has mentioned that continuity error of the scanner. When J scans the face of the beat boxing alien with his device to find out the race, the scanner shows the man's face when the conversation ends. It doesn't scan his current face but the face when the beat boxing alien confirms to everyone else it's ok to reveal themselves to K. Unless that device scans the future as well, someone forgot to adjust the image on the device 2:18 for the scan and 2:47 for the same face 😂😅

When paying close attention to all three movies, this one particularly, I don't think K entirely forgot, or he was messing with J to see how he'd react to everything. Pay attention at the end of the movie when he asks what its like being in the outside world. The neurolizer only wipes out certain parts of your memory, not all of it!
