Could you tell me how to work on eliminating arrogance? I feel like it's embedded in me and I can't help it. as well i am stating that I am speaking I am better than someone else, i am just stating facts.
@Saiqa-IslamicSnippets5 ай бұрын
Being better than others isn’t the problem, it’s when we belittle them over things we have which they don’t that’s arrogance. Your question on how to eliminate it is an excellent question, and to be honest there is no one I can give a simple answer for that. I need to ponder on that myself and try to create a video on that topic inshAllah

One way that helps me to not feel arrogance and thinking i’m better than other people is thinking good of other people. I’ll give you examples- you’re at the masjid and had just finished praying zuhr. So you decide to pray sunnah 2 rakaah after zuhr prayer. You see the woman in front of you immediately leaving after zuhr prayer ends. Instead of thinking to yourself ‘i’m praying sunnah prayer so im better than her’ change your mindset to ‘maybe she has an emergency hence she needs to leave early’ or ‘she could be praying more sunnah prayers at home compared to me’. Another example, when you’re walking in the streets and saw an old man asking for money. You give him $5 and he thanks you for it. Then you saw a woman just passing that old man and not giving him any money. You could be saying to yourself ‘i’m better than her because i gave this old man money’. Instead of thinking like that, change your mindset to ‘maybe she is going through some financial problems i might not know about’ or even ‘that woman could be donating thousands monthly to a charity i don’t know about’. I pray that you benefit and whoever reads this benefit from it. May Allah remove arrogance from our hearts.
@farhatarique34185 ай бұрын
@@farouuuhi Mashallah that is a great perspective, but I am giving you some context here about when I feel most arrogant, Where I live I am surrounded by disbelievers, I am smart, good looking and have a good education and I work really hard, and the role that I am applying for I have all the skills, but time and time again I see discrimination happening against me, less qualified people are chosen for the position, they don't have 50% of my skills or experience and all this, because I am a hijabi Muslim and the hiring managers I assume, think I am backward or would not fit in their alcohol drinking and half naked girls in the office culture. This is when I start to look down upon people as I am frustrated with the discrimination against me.
@farouuuhi5 ай бұрын
@@farhatarique3418 well in that case, perhaps Allah is protecting you from working at such places. Let's say, Allah gives you a job at one of those places. It could be that they influence you into drinking and maybe you take your hijab off slowly. You are not the problem here sis. Allah knows that you deserve to work at a better place. You could be a million times better than the other hundreds of people that are applying for the same position as you, but if Allah doesn't will it, you will never get the position. And personally, everything really is about perspective and how you view things. Sometimes, things don't go our way because Allah has His own reasons. But always remind yourself that what Allah wills for us is what's best, even if we think it isn't. I apologise that my response has nothing to do with your question (which was about arrogance) but i hope it will help you view things from different perspectives.

Sister I have a question and like a solution that is arrogance in all things is awful but especially in the deen, why does this happen? Is it insecurity, why can’t we be people that want good for others and not feel threatened. Like I think Allah mentions in the Quran those people that after knowledge came to them and they were divided due to wanting to dominate. How do we overcome this and this insecurity and want good for others just as we want ourselves?
