I live in a cabin in the forest. You can get stress no matter where you live. Sometimes you have to set your alarm clock every few hours while it's snowing so you can clean up the snow gathering in front of your door. Once I was trapped in my house for 3 weeks before someone could come and clear the snow. You have to worry about paying your bills because you don't have a "normal" job. I, too, live on my creativity. I can't always know if I will be paid for weeks. Remember that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, but no life is free from stress. People come to my area to vacation, and I go to theirs. I have lived in the city. I prefer the forest because it's quieter, the air is cleaner, and there's no traffic. There is less stress for me in the forest, but I have many of the same stresses now and a few different ones. It's all about perspective. When it all comes down to it, stress is all in your mind.

I'm crying so hard right now because this video made me realize how meaningless my life is and how I'm wasting every single day of it. I never felt such an urge to go somewhere before, but I'm afraid I will never be brave enough to take the first big step into a new life
@ChocolateJewels
@ChocolateJewels 4 жыл бұрын
Your realization is a huge first step toward change. Why not brave enough? What is keeping you from living a simpler (although not necessarily easy) life? This is an honest question. You are crying because your soul is longing for something. What is that something? What does contentment look like for you? What is missing? Do you know? Start asking questions of yourself. Write them down. The answers will come. Are you brave enough to listen? I'm 49 and cry pretty much at every Jonna Jinton video. I have two amazing kids, a great husband, two dogs I love, a good life. And yet, Jonna Jinton has awakened something in me that needs exploring somehow. I started to write about it in my journal. I started dreaming about things I didn't know I could. It's a start.

@@ChocolateJewels I'm basically afraid of everything, mainly of change, because just staying where I am right now is so easy and safe and I feel like I need that. I'm still very young, but my path is almost completely prepared for me and even thinking about leaving this path is really scary. At the moment I'm doing a little bit better, because at least I stopped doing absolutely nothing all day and it's probably super naive to think that an 18 year old could already know her deep passion and know what will make her truly happy, but I just wish I would be braver, at least a little tiny bit. As I said, I'm okay right now, just sometimes at night these thoughts take over and I don't know how to react to them, because during the day I manage to keep them in the back of my head. It's just frustrating that I can't really motivate myself to do anything for myself during the day, hopefully this will change one day, even though I know that I have to change for this first. Anyway, I hope I'm not annoying you, but I like writing down my thoughts, it really helps to understand them and it makes me feel better But I'm always glad (this sounds a little bit stupid but I hope you know what I mean) to hear that many other people feel the same way. I truly wish the best for yourself and I hope that you find true happiness one day!

I've been in the north of Norway a few times but only in summer. This march was the first time in winter, we drove by car (camper van) trough Sweden and Finland from the south of Germany. This was a long long journey, but it was all worth it. I was totally stunned by the northern lights! They knocked me off my socks!! I was lying like a marshmallow in the snow and watched the lights. One time I cried because it was so perfect, we were out in the nowhere, no other tourists, no cars. Nothing. Just darkness and the dancing northern lights. I miss this so much. Since I am back home I am binge watching your winter videos, because they bring me a little back to the north. I get goosebumps when there a northern lights in your videos. Thank you so much for sharing the pure beauty of your home with the world! Take care and lots of love from Germany 💙

It's a promise: when I start working after this quarantine, I'll start saving money so one day I can see the Northern Lights. It's one of my biggest dreams. I live in a city in Brazil where the sunrise starts at 5am and the sunset 5:30pm, and it's crazy for me watch your videos and see light at night and darkness by day! I wanna have that experience some day.

"Look at the flowers. They bring up ALL their energy in the spring and in the summer so they can bloom, and then they go to rest again, so they can bloom again next year. It's the same with the trees. We should really learn more from the cycles of nature and stop judging and pushing ourselves when we are not ready for it." Woah. That really hit hard. You have such an incredible worldview and insights. This vlog may have taken longer than the others, but it seems like it all came together when it, and you, were ready.

Jonna, it’s so interesting to hear you speak of your creative pursuits and how you feel drained afterwards to the point where you feel as though you have nothing left to give and need to recharge by just “being”. I am also a creative person and experience the same ebb and flow. I feel that when I don’t create it causes anxiety but it is, as you say, a natural process and cannot be forced. I have to learn to be more patient and enjoy the down time. So, thank you for your insight. It’s good to hear support from another creative person. We tend to be hard on ourselves when the flow stops. 🌲❤️🌲

I feel the same thing. I go through periods where nothing comes out. I used to freak out but I've learned that's how the brain works and what's not normal is to create constantly like a machine. The economy of productivity makes us think about creativity as some sort of mechanic process we can turn on and off. It's not. Creativity is not defined by a steady flow of production... It stops then being creativity. New creations come out after periods of soaking up information, happenings, thinking about mundane stuff and mindlessly going through your life. And then, at some point, your brain reorganises that information to come up with a something new and exciting. You can keep working on things you love to help the process but you can't control when your brain throws the outcome!

What you create is nothing short of jaw-dropping and a true testament to how every single one of us has the power to profoundly affect other soul(s) at any given location on this giant planet we call home. Think about that. Your clips have done that to me in a very positive way. I needed to see these. It's quite clear that you speak and create from your heart. I work in physical therapy and I tell my patients that when they feel like they aren't improving, it doesn't mean the end of their progress. It's like the trees on winter taking a rest before growing again in the spring. Keep moving forward and the progress will start up again.

This is my first time watching your channel…. I relate with your feelings of somewhat “depression” or as you call it being down or not creative… what works for me is to step back and have other experiences… that is the birth of inspiration… hang tight and know that your videos are so touching to some of us not able to see that wonderful forest and the northern lights! Hang in there!

Seeing your Dog enjoying himself in the Snow reminds me of my Dog, how he Loved to play and get covered in Snow and he would eventually come back indoors and start to melt on the Kitchen floor. Lovely memories. Thank you

I did the same Em... Her videos seem to be filming a completely different and beautiful world. I assumed that was just what it was like in Sweden, but you are Swedish and recognized a difference in 2 minutes, so it must be a unique perspective that Jonna has. The video where she sings to the cows is the sweetest thing ever!

Wow. So this video popped up in my search for northern lights. I’m newly obsessed after going to Alaska last month. Anyway, I went down this rabbit hole on your page. You are an incredibly inspiring person. With your artistry, videography, the way you reflect deeply. I love that you keep your heritage alive. I was blown away at the end how you spoke of how long this took to make. I get it, I’m a creative person too, but you are doing a great job and I’m so happy to randomly come across this tranquil page you’ve created. I love learning about cultures and traditions and love the great outdoors. Thank you for all you do! P.s. your dog is the happiest dog on earth!

When one lives under this incredibly beautiful dome with nature pulsating every second of life, we as humans, sometimes,have amazing communion with our surroundings and sometimes we feel so empty as you say in this video. But you’re a wonderfully gifted person, with a heart as soft as the freshly fallen flakes of snow. God bless you ❤
