Watching people apply their makeup is so unbelievably fascinating. Its like all of a sudden we are privy to their personal ritual that is entirely unique to them. I love watching how each person approaches each step so differently and then comparing their methods to those that I use to apply my own. Love these videos to the moon and back. xx

hello christine! I would love to see a video where you talk about your favorite products for eyes, I am a new subscriber and you do the kind of makeup I love, so yes, I hope one day you can do a video where you talk about the eye area, both skincare and makeup, because I find that is where we usually tend to apply the most make up (going very heavy on the eye) while at the same time being the area we take care of the least. much love to you!

raccoon eyes have always been an insecurity of mine, when you guys talked about dark eyelids and how it looks good i was baffled because i've struggled with it and it's not like i was bullied or teased about it it's just that it never looks good and i have a struggle finding the perfect undereye concealer because it makes it look ashy, even my eyelids, anyone having the same struggle as me, please do feel free to reach out!! thank you :(
@KAlovesherkitties7 жыл бұрын
I'm right there with you. I can barely find a concealer or eye cream that helps. It's nice that they embrace the look but whenever I hear that I wonder why I can look at it the same way.
@ariellesourias6627 жыл бұрын
Hey, I have darker eyelids than my complexion and I rock the shit out of my dark circles. Here are some product recommendations. For eye primer I wear the light smashbox primer, it has a soft yellow matte color and neutralizes most of the brown in my eyelids. For undereyes your best friend is a color corrector. My top 4 are urban decay in peach or dark peach, smashbox in light orange or dark orange, bobbi brown, and tarte. You want to apply it into the first third of the darkness and up until your inner tear duct area and into the area where the nose bone becomes the brow bone. Horrible description I know. You want to bring it out and down in small buffing motions. Put on your foundation and top with a concealer in your shade. Also you can try using eyecream and undereye primers to illuminate the area, it makes the area look softer and not so dry. It kinda makes it intentional.

I've had dark under eyes and dark pigmented eyelids since puberty, and if the women in my family are any indication of my future, these puppies are just going to get darker with age. It's genetic, there's nothing I can do about it, but I do load on the concealer for special occasions. Unfortunately, I was also born with quite a few deep wrinkles under my eyes (I'm only 24, but I've literally had these since I was a baby). So putting concealer on ends up disguising the undereye darkness but augmenting the under-eye wrinkliness. It's a lose-lose situation :( If you're looking for ways to cover undereye darkness though, my bulletproof combo is Mac's Peach Lustre corrector followed by Estee Lauder's Double Wear foundation (I'm between cashew and toffee), and after I blend that out and let it sit for about a minute, Estee Lauder's Doublewear Foundation + Double Wear Waterproof concealer (I mix the two of them together), all set with ben nye banana powder. My eyelids are very oily so if I want a more "natural" look, I use primer and follow that up with a warm toned foundation powder that's close to my skin tone on my lids (concealer will crease like nobody's business). Unfortunately, I'll never be able to get away with "just a dab of concealer" under my eyes. The finished product doesn't look cakey, but it is apparent, at least to me, that I have makeup under my eyes due to my wrinkles. I imagine that if you aren't cursed with wrinkles, as I am, that this would work well for you!

yeah that's still problematic. medium is supposed to be in the middle because it's neither here nor there. and i assume i would be dark? which is problematic as well. because i'm not dark skinned and i can't pretend to know what it's like to be dark skinned. they could have easily said fair, light, medium, dark, deep.
