And for paper storage it's perfect, because they're flat and not interfering with what's in the cabinet. I'm so tired of seeing "Oh, I put hooks on my cabinet door for this super bulky thing!" Im a guy but in all my backpacks, toolboxes, etc I like to use the zippered pencil pouches that are everywhere during back-to-school time. Many even have two separate zippered compartments and they come in many different colors so I can create a color organization system and they have mesh or clear fronts to see whats inside them. Besides being great for organizing they also work well on thier own as First Aid kits and the like. Much sturdier than Ziplock bags.

@@adelainemay I used to use Ibotta and don’t anymore because it wasn’t accepting grocery pickup receipts, which is all I’ve done the last 2 years. Another tip along the lines of those wire baskets.... Those wire cube storage things for closets, or whatever (they're like 14x14, and connect together with those round things..lol). Use Command Hooks at the top 2 corners and one or two at the bottom - and they can be put up around a desk/office for bins or small baskets - or even use small binder clips for papers - or even for the little baskets!! Then you're not putting holes in walls to hang up a cork board, white board or whatever.

If I need to return anything, I can easily find the receipt. At the end of the year, I take a quick look to see if I need anything; if not, they go in the trash. I've been thinking about labeling my fridge for quite a while. Your video got me to say "Okay, I'll just do it!" To get around my aversion to residue if I "make a mistake" and want to change things later, I use Avery removable labels from the office supply store. When I opened my fridge, I got overwhelmed at the thought of having to move everything around, so I decided I could just do the labels now and trust that I will gradually get things in their proper place, or maybe tomorrow will be a better brain day for me. There's something about taking action in the real world that changes my experience. Even though I put the labels exactly where I've been imagining them, it feels better to actually have them there. Hooray!

You can teach a 3 year old (I would randomly and only occasionally start the habit at two if they are up for it) to read. By using all of these labels you already have in place the building blocks to start. Put a label on...we will use “refrigerator “ for an example. You have a label on the refrigerator that says “refrigerator “ and each time you go to the refrigerator you make a game of it, “What is this”? It’s a refrigerator, and reinforce it when they say it. Then if you’re there to get juice, you have a label on the shelf for juice and you play the game again. What’s this? It’s juice, yea that’s right juice. I learned to read at 3 years old and it taught me how to learn. I told a friend about this and in about two or three months they had their child beginning to read . Children learn to read words by the shape of the word. Like refrigerator has a better shape than cat, bat and hat. When they get a little older and easily recognize the words the you start to point out the spelling of the words. Especially if you have a new baby coming this is a game you play only with the first borne and it gives them a sense that they have special things they do with you that the baby doesn’t. You obviously need that because the first child is used to having you to themselves. And finally, put labels where diapers go and when you can ask the first child (is it Miles?) to bring you a diaper and encourage him to help take care of the baby. It will build a bond with them and the baby and they won’t feel left out. I hope explained this right. Good luck and God Bless you and the little ones, you’re going to need it. I’m so happy for you. I love your organization method and I will be checking in to hopefully hear more about the newest member of your family and how you organize and prepare for them. Is it a girl or a boy? etc. oh, and congratulations 🎊🎈🎉

Keep receipts, especially in 2020 so you have a record of where you are for contact tracing. Also until they clear your credit card in case you need to dispute them and I have had to. So glad to see someone else who labels the fridge, also saves time finding things and making grocery lists. I have labels in my linens draw.
