Two of the reasons why learning a foreign language appears difficult are: 1) it sounds really weird especially if spoken fast and words are blended, and 2) the written language needs to be learned. Your listening practices and pinyin alphabet have accelerated my learning.

I finished hsk 1 in 8 weeks but I studied for hours. I mean sometimes, three to four hours with listening and writing. It's possible to complete. Five months later, after studying hsk2-4 I'm back and I missed one or two Characters every other sentence. So, I think a refresher course is good every 60-90 days, to go over Everything you learn. Going to do a Hsk1 refresher course and Lichao Chinese on KZbin does a great job with teaching hsk standard course books.

Hello , i'm new in learning mandarin. Although it's actually has been 3 months, but i find myself hard to expand my vocabularies and sharpening my tones as well as distinguish other people's mandarin speech( their tones). Currently, i'm studying by watching chinese tv series or any variety shows to increase my familiarity with basic daily-used words. Hope anyone can suggest me more sources or any learning methods to learn mandarin.

@@michaelfebrymillenio590 Hi, I think your Chinese is at level 1 (biginners) You may not know how to get started to learn Chinese or how to keep on learning. There is a method that can be used by anyone who wants to learn Mandarin Chinese. It is not easy and it is not fast, but it works. Naturally, you should go to China if you want to learn Mandarin, but not everyone can do that so you’re left with what you can make do on your own on the internet and this is a guide to do exactly that. 1. Learn Chinese Pronounciation/Alphabet - Pinyin Lessons Online - Ultimate Guides: kzbin.info/aero/PLrYgra2FrMh-4BZ10qd8AQ2A-7F1bVgPT This is the first step and also the most important one,given how complex Mandarin pronunciation is. 2. Learn Mandarin Chinese Lessons for the Very Beginners in 101 Days - EverydayChinese: kzbin.info/aero/PLrYgra2FrMh_jGBcMmNWPnSh-kHwGiaXG You can learn the basic Chinese used in daily life and this can arose your interest and build up your confidence in Chinese. 3. This step is the one that is going to take you the longest, but it’s not as bad as you think. 4. Slow Chinese Reading & Listening Practice: kzbin.info/aero/PLrYgra2FrMh-2jvZLkAX2nQBYknNj3E0u Practise your Chinese reading and listening as well as pick up Chinese vocabulary. 5. @@EverydayChinese thanks for the suggestions. I'm actually already reach your video(s) on hsk 3. I am pretty sure i'm capable arranging / reading / translating sentences of vocabularies within hsk 1 - hsk 2 level. I believe the reason why i don't have much progress lately because this needs to be practiced in daily life, in other words i have to interact directly using mandarin. I don't have much resources regarding this issue. Watching videos,reading the chinese characters and any other form of passive learning will not progess if i , myself do not use the languange outside of my learning process from these examples.

Hi' I'm a beginner and I just completed this HSK1 section but I have some questions. 1. sentence structure- Im learning that there is a literal meaning and then there's the translation. Is it ok for me to form my sentences in english format while speaking? 2.Characters- I have in mind that it is ok for me to learn the chinese characters after I've developed a conversational level of mandarin ... is this possible or will I make things harder for myself ? 3. when Im watching (chinese or taiwan)tv or listening to (mando)music I can understand words I have learned but, when I studying , listening to a quiz, trying to have a conversation Im lost is there something Im doing wrong?

If I'm correct, "zai" meaning "is" is used for locations (you could translate it as "is located at"). Like, where is your home. And shi is everything else. I'm more confused about such instances like "mom and dad are drinking tea", where the "zai" is just kind of there, indicating no location or anything...
@AlleyWolf1234 жыл бұрын
V1kte “zai” is for location like you said and also for actions. It’s similar to -ing at the end of a verb in English. For example, “I’m at the hospital” would be “wo *zai* yiyuan” or “I’m eating” would be “wo *zai* chi”. “Shi” is like “to be” so you use it when talking about what something is. For example, “This is my friend” would be “zhe ge *shi* wo de pengyou” or “i am a student” would be “wo *shi* xuesheng” (I’m too lazy to put tones)
@V1kte4 жыл бұрын
