I really like the new grille on the Acuras. It looks aggressive while not too polarizing and I think the shiny black accents give it a really cool, unique look!

How's the ride quality with the new adaptive suspension ?

In my opinion, I think you should talk about the ride quality of this car. Then it'll be a perfect review. PS: I love you channel as always :)

Acura lost me as a customer for this car when they made the bad mistake of not allowing a hitch mount which is a must for our biking. They further lost our business when our dealer of 15 years allowed emails to go unanswered. Oh well there were competitors who did.

I wish I waited for the Sport Hybrid version of my 2017 MDX SH-AWD Advance, but my dealership said it was going to be over $3k more, not just $1500 more. As for the dashcam, Aukey makes great budget products. I like their chargers and cables.

Same here, I bought the 2016 Mdx with tech last year, and I should have waited for the Hybrid version as that the one I always want to buy, but I wasn't sure if there will even be a Hybrid version which is why I didn't wait.

Agree for the most part, but in this case, I needed a three row vehicle right away due to the increase in my family size. I bought my 2016 MDX in May of 2016, so it's not really a good idea to wait almost a year just for the Hybrid version although I do wish I could wait but I don't have much of a choice.

I am going to be buying a new SUV in Aug this year so starting to look around. I was disappointed to hear this MDX Hybrid is only getting 22Mpg. The Hybrid has a premium of $1600 over the regular MDX and it gets around 19mpg - 20 Mpg so to me it wouldn't be worth getting the Hybrid for an extra $1600. I like the rest of both vehicles though, good space and decent looking with good list of standard features.

What vehicle did you finally decide on? I did the 19 MDX Adv Sport Hybrid and been very happy with it (purchased new, now have +41,000 miles). The only time I've seen mpgs in the low 20s is with a stiff headwind of +35mph on the highway or temps were near zero degrees F and I had every heater on (windshield, seats, mirrors, rear glass, steering wheel). Other than that, my mpgs are in the 25-27 range depending on my mix of hwy-vs-city. I'm glad I have the hybrid now with crazy gas prices and Acura doesn't make hybrids anymore.

@Everyman Driver Practically can we tow some weight on MDX Hybrid? I am not asking 5000 lbs but 1000 lbs or so.. or for a bicycle carrier? MDX fact sheet says, Towing Capacity FWD:3500 lb SH-AWD:5000 lb. with 5000 lb. Trailer Hitch and ATF Cooler Sport Hybrid:Towing not recommended

How's the transition from engine off at stop and auto ignition when you accelerate? Some cars are very abrupt, you can feel it every time.

Dave how do we tell Acura if they put that new console with the distracting navigation screen sticking up and out as BMW and Audi does (less it decends)(I think Audi does) (but some dont and they look stupid) they are going to loose many customers. That screen is hazzarduos and makes it a magnet for thieves in nyc and urban areas. Also they need to tweek the suspension for its city markets. These pot holes and horrible roads make the simplest trips feel like a rough rollercoaster ride. Dave please voice our concerns to Acura. PLEASE.

Yes, I agree! Honda's reliability and quality has completely GONE DOWN THE TOILET TUBES! It has been on a steady DOWNWARD SPIRAL from about 15 years ago, when they were nearly as good as the standard bearer (Toyota) in this area. This is really sad, because the MDX, and many other Honda products, are absolutely OUTSTANDING in terms of their FUNCTIONALITY (Comfort, refinement, performance, styling, design, interior space etc.). So, if you want one, because of these attributes, the only way to buy one would be with a FULL EXTENDED WARRANTY (I believe they go up to 7yrs/100K), and if you don't intend to keep your vehicle beyond that. Toyota's vehicles on the other hand are BULLETPROOF RELIABLE AND DURABLE and generally are of the HIGHEST QUALITY EVER, but the vehicles themselves are terrible (specifically talking about Lexus) - hideously styled, poor comfort, noisy unrefined powertrains, harsh ride, sloppy handling .....and the list goes on!
