I can relate to a lot of his life. I was also an adjuster that became a public adjuster. Similar experiences with first two wives. Met the love of my life, a filipina and we celebrate our 13 year anniversary today. My motto is Carpe deim. Life is short so go for it and experience things.

Spot on with the language barrier. It is a real barrier! I lived in Vietnam for 7 years and was just able to order in cafes. After being in Vietnam again, this time for almost 1 year I'd done with not being able to undersand what's going on around me or needing a translator just to function. It's too much work. I'm flying to Cebu in three days and am so looking forward to the Philippines this tour.

Did he put a lump sum in the investments he’s living off of dividends it seems like he’s had an exciting life but I’d like to know how the hell he paid for it

I totally agree with the statement regarding Thailand. If you recommend against it for men in their 60’s and 70’s SAY WHY!! Many of us are here desperately in search of hard information. Not a candy ass rated G interview. Mark needs to rein in guys like this who go way off task repeatedly. We got a lot more detail about a very boring motorhome trip throughout the U.S. and Canada with his then wife and kid than the 15 years he spent in a Thailand hotspot. No wonder we will need a Part 2 with all of this disjointed rambling. Part 3, 4, 5.......
