I am hopeful that Ryan ultimately retires to this community and enjoys the company of his surrogate children. Several more chapters could follow this, if you wish. Just my thoughts.

Also, there are parts where the logic does not make sense. like how did their escape become known and how did word of their world spread if Ryan is the only one leaving and coming back?

I agree. That is something I hope will be clarified in future chapters because it does present an interesting paradox that is never explored.
