I don't know what's going on, but I know skill when I see it. Not just a guitar player, but a musician that happens to play the guitar. KZbin is lucky to have you.

Good stuff. I like thinking of the barr6 harris "playing eith the family% on the diminished. It never really occurred to me so thank you 😊

Also, the walk down, can be done in augmented as long as you outline the dominant when you get back to the 1 - you'll be suprised at how smooth it sounds.

Very cool, really helps with call and response options. Feels like someone asks a question and instead of the answer you expected you got a "well I don't know, what about this" kind of reply. Thanks for this nice idea - is it a bit Barry Harris-esque? Could also see the whole F#dim as a sub for Fdom7 and then, in the same way as the second idea you explained, its a tri tone from that. And / or whole-half tone idea over the dim chord? I am always a bit muddled up on the whole-half, half-whole thing and probably don't know of what I speak there.

F#dim (fa#, do, mib, la) same notes in Do dim (do, mib, la fa#) There are two modes depending on whether we start to play with the whole tone, in that case we will call it "fully diminished scale" (also called Whole-half diminished), or with the half-tone, called " dominant diminished scale " (or Half-whole diminished). These modes are based on an equal division of the octave into four (minor thirds divisions). They are often confused yet it is very simple, one must be played over diminished seventh chords (dim7) and the other one over dominant seventh chords (7th). On F#dim you can play F# G# A B C D Eb F 🙂

Love the channel but wish you guys would use a looper or accompaniment instead of having the listener have to imply the harmony underneath.

(speaking in a very low whisper so maybe no hears me even though I kind of want them to) How much of a basic bitch am I since I didn't realize there even WAS a blues progression that had a frickin' diminished chord in it? What is that full progression?
@adamtaylor2142 Жыл бұрын
JAZZZZZZ
@TerebiJoke Жыл бұрын
The "jazz blues" can be thought of as its own progression, which is slightly modified from the blues scale that you're probably familiar with
