This video concludes my series on the Unforgivable Sin. This series has examined the most common Scriptures that are often misunderstood and misinterpreted to teach that someone can place themselves beyond hope of salvation. It has examined the proper context of the unforgivable sin (that of blaspheming the Holy Spirit) so that we don't misapply it to our situation today. It has examined Hebrews 6:4-6 and Hebrews 10:26 in their proper context, helping one to see that those passages are referring to a specific form of apostasy (born again Jews reverting to Judaism). Context reveals it was something that was done defiantly and deliberately, literally forsaking Jesus Christ and purposely leaving the safety and atonement of Jesus Christ while joining one's self to those who crucified Jesus, knowingly placing themselves back in bondage under the law.
We learned how there is a difference between the "sin willfully" of Hebrews 10:26 and willful sin in general. Willful sin in general can be forgiven as is made clear in 1 Corinthians 5. We also examined Romans 1:21-28 in light of the entire context, thus learning that the apostle Paul was speaking of the general Gentile guilt of sin in Romans 1 and placing all Jews in the same category as is made clear in Romans 2 and 3. We learned that anyone with a reprobate mind can be saved through the gospel (good news of what Jesus Christ did), which is the power of God unto salvation to all who believe. If we believe the gospel we will obey the gospel.
This series was put together to give everyone hope in and through Jesus Christ through a full biblical understanding of the gospel the apostles preached. Many people who think they have fallen away from the faith have never been born again to begin with and wonder why they had no power and victory over sin. Someone can't fall away from something they never had to begin with. We must be born again (of the water and the Spirit) in order to enter the kingdom of God. What Peter declared in Acts 2:38 is how we actually by faith obey the gospel under the New Covenant in order to be born again (found in Christ), not having our own righteousness, but the righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ by faith.

We must be born again. You are born again when the Holy Spirit in you don’t let you sin anymore. When you still sin you are not born again. 1 John 2, 1 John 3, Romans 6:6, Romans 8, Gal 5, Eph 4 , Eph 5 and Titus 2:14!

No where in scripture does it say if you still sin you are not born again. 1 John 2:1 actually says we have an advocate. That doesn't excuse us from sin, it's simply reminding us of His grace and how we need need to do better. We need to have faith that Jesus finished the work, purging us from our sins and walk in holiness, which is separation from ungodliness and worldly lusts.

@@bigredog100 Then you have to study the scriptures I gave you because they tell you the same as I do. 1 John 2 is about keeping His commandments. Then you are sinless. 1 John 3 is about the children of satan ( the sinners) and the children of God ( they who do not sin anymore) I think that very clear .

Amen Clifford! We must be born again of the water and the Spirit and then grow into the full stature of Christ by maturing in the Lord, learning to walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh. Abiding in the Vine so that we can bear much fruit. To God be the glory! We strive according to His working in us. And like you succinctly pointed out, if we sin we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. Repentance must be a continual part of a born again believers life as they grow into full maturity in the Lord. What a wonderful Saviour! Lord bless you brother!

@@jandrost4664 I would suggest you do the same as you mentioned Galations in your previous comment. Galations literally starts out with Paul confronting the Galations and Peter on his observance of old testament practices which he directly states as another gospel which we know is anthema or accursed. Keep in mind this is the same Peter that preached the actual gospel om the day of Pentecost. So are you telling me the Galations or Peter the apostle were not born again? What about the Corinthians?

@@ShatteringFalseFoundations Born of water doesn’t mean baptized with water. Born of water is your natural birth! It’s not: we must be born again of water and Spirit It’s: we must born of water and Spirit!!!

Arent we actually born again after we are baptized for the remission of sins?

In order to be born again we must be born of the water and the Spirit. If we have truly had faith in the biblical Jesus, repented of our sins, and been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, then we are promised to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. But receiving the Holy Spirit is a separate experience from being baptized in water. My personal testimony testifies of this and God's Word establishes this. John 3:3-5 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. The gospel under the New Covenant that Peter preached on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2:38 confirms the need to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (born of water and Spirit). Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. The Spirit, the water, and the blood agree together in one new birth (born again experience). 1 John 5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. The blood of Jesus is applied to our lives when we get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ after having faith in the biblical Jesus and truly repenting of our sins. Spirit baptism is a separate experience from being baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ. It can happen before or after water baptism. But both water and Spirit must occur and agree together for someone to be born again of the water and the Spirit. We can learn that Spirit baptism is a separate experience from water baptism by reading some examples in the book of Acts. Acts 19:1-6 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. So these men never actually received the Holy Spirit until after they were baptized and Paul had laid his hands on them. The following is another example that shows that even after someone was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, that it didn't mean they were yet filled with the Holy Ghost. The apostles understood that even though they had been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ that they hadn't yet received the Holy Ghost which is why they prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Ghost. Acts 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. I've done an entire gospel series that goes into greater depth on every aspect of the gospel that can be viewed here if interested: kzbin.info/aero/PLo_7oh9llbNZAqbRChaNccCdByN3i_E-e
