1sonnio I'll drop the meter this time. I agree that some assumptions are necessary when you have limited information, which you almost always do, but these poems aren't designed to be read into too closely. @@RustyShackleford1955 right-wing bad, left-wing good, eh? Like the left-wing never does anything against the liberties of the people. Oh, wait! I forgot about the woke trend. The SJWs (social justice warriors) who ironically work to ban everything with "safe spaces" and "trigger warnings" and anyone who doesn't approve of the SJWs infantile behavior is committing "microaggression". The cancel culture (their very name literally admits they're about suppression of freedom). Left-wing are tyrants too. Instead of letting the government and companies have Cart Blanche (the right-wing), the left-wing wants the public to be reliant on government agencies and corporations. Don't pretend the left-wing is in favor of the public's rights, you know better.
@nunisthathigh48253 жыл бұрын
@@RustyShackleford1955 it's the young crowd presently that's pampered. Example. The generation X and before (boomers) practiced self-reliance and they worked towards what they wanted to achieve or get. If they wanted to, for instance, get a car, the generation X and boomers would take driving courses (driving courses used to be a mandatory option for high school) and get a job to save money for the car. Nowadays very few are taught self-reliance, quite the opposite, the younger generation is taught to be reliant on their parents. And if they want to drive generally the parents reaction is to simply buy them a car right off the bat (and yet so many wonder why there's so many road accidents). It's the present generation that's a bunch of spoiled brats (SJWs, the woke, "cancel" culture) that the older generation weren't a part of.

Warning! The following is said by an asshole! This is the 2nd video I've happened to watch this month that refers to the protagonist bias. The first was a recent video from VSauce. The way he described it was: everyone thinks the world is a play and they are the STAR of the play, and so everyone that's not yourself is just an unimportant extra that doesn't serve an important role. As you get older you start to realize this. Meaning, when you are young you think everyone thinks about you and they don't think of anyone else. At middle-age you think people think about themselves more than they think about you, At old-age you think people don't think of you at all.

They're more forgivable, since they don't intentionally try to hurt anyone. I think that this poem was pointless to make, so we all CAN be assholes, we knew that, god's sake! Our world can be cruel, and we can be, too, but you're showing just one side cause that is not true. You can't judge so fast, t'is not as easy as that, don't put all in one drawer it's not working, I dread. So just take one second, look at it again, There's so much more to it, you women and men. Cause noone is perfect, how boring that'd be and we all have bad days, bad habits, but gee, Despite of our flaws, our failures and hate, some of us try to make up for it mate. They care and they help and they donate their stuff, although, in our world, being nice can be tough. Sometimes the good actions just outweigh the bad, and calling them assholes is making me mad. Some people are nicer and kinder than other, and some ones can only be loved by a mother. You see what you want to and I can see good, but apparently you're in a much darker mood. It's just like when to me look through the same bars, one sees the earth and one sees the stars. You are hiding behind walls of fears and clichés, And if you'd see through them you'd sure be amazed So I would suggest, just tear down that wall, and try to start seeing the stars here you all. Let's face it this world is not just black and white, and with this I just wish you good day or good night.

+Me that was a great poem, that much i can see instead of spreading hate you spread lots of glee but one good deed can not fix a bad not even if you were hurt, angry or sad once a mistake is made it can not be undone that i am afraid is life my son a series of mistakes that define who you are it's called experience and it is shown like a scar it's a change from what you used to be like the number of rings on the trunk of a tree only an asshole could become better by doing bad but it's what makes us human, i know it is sad.
@notAshildr8 жыл бұрын
+lazyguy5020 Thanks for your answer, appreciate it, Full of different ideas and not lacking wit, I do get your point, once you're there, can't go back, And of scars and some bruises we sure have no lack We do grow from experience, I see that my friend, but it's also from good, not just bad in the end. The dark side is human, I know that, al right, for me, what defines human's mostly the light. But as different opinions are just how life is, I accept that you have one, and I must give you this, That you answered in rhymes shows you honored me, too, and I have to give back that it was great of you Your methaphores brought your ideas to life, so to all poets out there a virtual high five (To furry balls' comment I must disagree, though your metre was not quite to rule as I see)
@notAshildr8 жыл бұрын
+furry balls plopped menacingly on the table INC Pointless they are, are you sure that is true? So the guy who just hated without thinking wasn't you? Only one typo's enough for you to start nagging, remember "pomes" also isn't a word so stop bragging. Concerning grammar, what about there, their and they're, when we had this in class you sure weren't there. Of course I am angry, but I guess justified, because you verbally attacked me without any right. I know I'm not Goethe or Schiller or Shakespeare, but neither are you, and we're sure nowhere near being great poets or just the slightest bit good. We're just rage-commenting on KZbin out of a mood, so I'd like you to shut up cause all that you say is making somone else have a even worse day.

I'm not an asshole. I don't think i''ve ever been one. The most important people in my life. Is my wife And My Son. I respect people Who they are or want to be. I respect those people. Who will respect me. I don't drive a big car. Two miles to buy milk. I'll gladly wear cotton, nylon OR silk. I don't denigrate women, religion Or even sin. I wait my turn before i'll go in. I will laugh at jokes That are just not funny. I won't bow down to false idols. As they worship their money. I'm not an asshole. I'll take the thin... As well as the thick... Although i'll admit that sometimes... I can be a bit of a dick.

If everyone of us is indeed an asshole then being an asshole isn't so bad, after all, a word means precisely nothing if it applies to absolutely everyone. I'm sure I'll be called an asshole for this, oh well...

MovieHelper I don't post things based on what you or people like you may or may not tolerate, get over yourself. Anyway, when I said it means precisely nothing, that is simply meant to mean that the term completely loses it's impact as an insult, not that it does not have any literal meaning. I may have failed to make that clear in the original statement but I believe most people (who are not obtuse and overly literalistic) were able to get it.

***** Thanks for the nice comment, but I myself did take it as a joke, no misunderstanding on my part. The negative reaction by me and a few others was against user MovieHelper, who interpreted what I said literally and called me an idiot. His comment was removed which is probably why you may have thought the negative reaction was towards your joke, don't worry, it wasn't. Cheers. =)

I, another speck, have noticed thee, good sir, when most others pass you by in a blur. But yes, most words from our mouths we spew, are ignored and brushed off, yes this is so true. But if we all stick together and say the same thing, then maybe we'll be heard, just on a whim. Time passes quickly, just as we thought, so soon they'll be words that time has forgot.

If I try to be funny, I turn out as a dick, but when I am shy and quiet, not one person gives a shit. So is there no way, to avoid being an asshole, if so then thanks for enlightening me without all the hassle.

@Barrobroadcastmaster10 жыл бұрын
You could just as easily say everyone is awesome. The point of this video is that we all have times where we fall short of behavior we should be expressing and find ourselves screwing around, or just messing. There are times in our lives where we all display some act or say something that we shouldn't say. These instances throughout have many of causes and while we overlook them, they give others' pauses. For in that instant where we forget our station, someone believes us an asshole and assigns us that classification. No matter what you're really like, no matter what good you've done, they believe you're now an asshole who deserves to be shunned. That's not fair, yes I know but that's the way that it goes: once your reputation is marred, that's all that it shows. In the eyes of another that's seen your mistake, they judge you that instant- one's all that it takes. Even though they fall short sometimes too, they don't remember those times; only what you do. When we judge others, we don't usually consider the many qualities we have in common with the sinner. We're all human beings, and we all can fall short and display behavior of an unscrupulous sort. No one is perfect; that's the point of this vid. From hipsters and bronies to trolls and scene kids. But in us we all also have the potential for good and we could see it in each other if only we would. We should all try to see the good in one another. So that's the point of my comment: don't judge a book by its cover.
