“When a religion is good, I conceive it will support itself; and when it does not support itself, and God does not take care to support it, so that its professors are obliged to call for the help of the civil power, ’tis a sign, I apprehend, of its being a bad one.” - Benjamin Franklin

You do understand that the Mongols also invaded the Middle East led the by the heirs of Genghis Khan? The Mongols were defeated in the Middle East at the Battle of Ain Jalut in 1260, where the Mamluks of Egypt defeated the Mongols. This victory was a decisive halt to the Mongol empire's westward expansion and saved Islam and Egypt. The Mongols had previously raided and conquered parts of the Middle East, including Baghdad in 1258 and much of Syria in 1260. However, the Mamluks defeated the Mongols in several battles, including Ain Jalut, the second Battle of Homs, Elbistan, and Marj al-Saffar. The Mongols only won one of the five battles, at the Battle of Wadi al-Khaznadar. After the Battle of Ain Jalut, the Mamluks and the Ilkhanids fought for regional supremacy for about 60 years. The conflict ended around 1320 with peace agreements. I know about the history of Christianity. I know the difference on the perspective of the Pauline and theological history of Jesus based on the 4 biographies that were included at the Council of Trent to create the "New Testament" vs the historical Jesus. I know about the Roman Caesars, the Flavians, and their direct psychological war on that part of the Middle East and their purported invention of Jesus as a pacifist messiah instead of the Jewish warrior king to make the Roman rule of the area much easier to govern. Its not a question of the historicity of Christianity that one knows. It's a question of whether you are predator or prey. That's what it all comes down to. Which society is going to be the Alpha Apex predator and which is going to be the prey. Who is going to be the slave - which the Bible condones in multiple instances - and who is going to be the master. You are either part of the Society that is the master race, and in the Middle East, do we _REALLLY_ need to discuss what race that is, or you are NOT part of the "Chosen Superior Race". Does it really surprise you that the theological tenants of Judaism were designed to conquer the world with the Jews being the master race and all others its slaves as the pantheon clearly exhibits in its writing and history? Does it surprise you that Christianity was designed to be the exact opposite and end racism on Earth to make the Roman empire more easily governed, as Paul (who never even knew or met Jesus) preached by admitting everyone who believed in the death and resurrection of Jesus into the master race? I say to you sir, Re Legion is the mechanism Warlords use to control populations. Those who control Re Legions and those who control Empires are fearful bedfellows.

As surely as I have that same issue, you and I will either learn more or waste away pathetic and cast aside.

Nobody builds anything entirely from scratch; they build upon what came before. Christianity is only one part of the story. The Greco-Roman traditions, Jewish thought, and Sumerian contributions laid early foundations, while the Enlightenment, science, cultural pluralism, and modern secularism advanced us further. Many of the things we value today, like technology and medicine, come from science. Without it, people like you would still be at the whims of manipulative authorities blaming foreigners for floods or other natural events.
@JarrodMoes2 күн бұрын
You're right, science and innovations has brought us forward and made our civilizations better. However science cannot be deified. A culture requires a mythos to survive. Without that mythos, there is no soul, just an empty vapid space. There is no scientific church where people pray or bow towards technological gadgets and innovations like an omnipotent deity. That's because they are material things and are only temporary in this world.

Hey I appreciate your perspective. From what I can tell in your tone and temperament, you’re not a fundamentalist or biblical literalist right? I think there is a difference in saying “these ideas are worthy of study and integration” and “if you don’t think these thoughts in your head about a resurrection you deserve eternal damnation” Two different coins here and the viewer should be aware this is not the common temperament.
@JarrodMoes3 күн бұрын
I am a Christian myself but I do understand the point of view of many atheists and agnostics, because I was an atheist for the major bulk of my life. I think the concept of "eternal damnation" isn't really for us to judge, that is God's word, and it's outside of our realm of understanding. However you can see from my tone that I am quite frustrated with the secular world refusing to acknowledge the backbone of our Western society comes from Christianity. Whether you think the stories are true or simple fairy tales is irrelevant. There is no denying that they made a massive impact on the way our society and culture has evolved.
@phillip-england3 күн бұрын
@ yeah I agree the stories have had a major influence on every aspect of our culture. I think this is up the same vein that Jordan Peterson presses. I don’t think anyone is denying they’ve influenced culture. But that’s not what Christianity is about. Christianity seeks to modify and spread itself into the minds of the masses. This is is not simply about culture, it’s about truth. And when someone says I am a Christian they claim to have the truth. That’s the core issue I think.

@@phillip-england Yes indeed. I do actually acknowledge that it is the truth, Christ is the Way and the Light, he is our Lord and Saviour. However it's difficult explaining to atheists and non-believers, so first I have to give them something rational and logical to think about, then hopefully through their own research they'll find out the truth to all this.

@ I asked a loved one a question earlier today. I said, “do I have access to God? Can I go outside and pray to the creator of the universe?” They asked “do you believe in Jesus?” I said, “no” They said, “no” It’s just so dehumanizing to think I cannot access God because I don’t believe in a resurrection

@@dburke4754 is that why slavery wasn't banned until the 19th century?
@dburke47543 күн бұрын
@bengreen171 the reason slavery was banned and the banned was carried out almost world wide was because of the British empires doing. The abolitionist movement in America and Britain was started because of Christian moralist who argued it was impossible to be a Christian society and still have slaves. We ending slavery in most of Africa, Asia and the americas because of the teaching of Christ. There would still be worldwide slavery if it wasn’t for Christianity

I have the secret answer to every religion and the origin of every myth. Campbell and Jung discovered the same thing. The root origin is astronomy, and astrology was the language we created to understand astronomy. The church came along, took away all of the knowledge, all of the ancient wisdom, and have hidden it from the people with a cryptic mythology of its own. I can tell you where Noah's Ark is right now, I can tell you what revelations means, I can tell you where heaven is, I can tell you what the death and rebirth is, I can tell you what splitting the seas are, I can tell you exactly when judgement day is, I can tell you how the solar system is mechanically connected to your consciousness, I can tell you all about Easter/passover and Christmas. I know what the apocalypse is, and I can tell you the purpose of life.

Please tell me, I want to know before my end
@davidagiel81303 күн бұрын
@waterfairy222 Every religion is telling two stories, the sun's sine wave (ancient astronomy = Prisca Theologia) and the sacred secretion. The Cristos oil is the same as the 7 chakra, the 7 days of creation, and the 7 churches in Revelations. They all are referring to the 7 energy centres in your body. Every month, there is an apocalypse inside your body, and it is your life's purpose to create an existence where you can attain the highest frequency level of consciousness possible. The higher your frequency, the closer you are to the source energy. If you are trapped in a low frequency, you are literally in hell, and that's what religion and media does, they keep you down in a low frequency. Heaven is the mind, the father, spring and summer, the light, consciousness, the crown chakra, where the mana flows from, the sacred secretion. Earth is your heart chakra, which is the mother, and the child seed generates and is reborn in your solar plexus every month. The cycle starts when the moon enters your star sign at birth, the mana flows from heaven. All is mind, as above, so below, as within, so without, everything vibrates, and everything has a polarity. You are a duality, yourself, and your shadow, god and the devil. The kingdom of god is inside you, and our consciousness (or soul system) is mechanically connected to the solar system. I'm going to assume all the people who are "exposing" religion really have no idea of the hidden esoteric wisdom. It might not be literally true, but the secret of life is encoded in every religion. The problem is that monotheism tries to hide the truth. They wanted to control the masses, not give them enlightenment. Tibetan Buddhism is the least cryptic of them all, the most unique of them all. Because you discover it's all about living life now, not worrying about where you came from or where you're going next, if anywhere at all.
