Humility is an "information multiplier". Without humility (i.e. feeling prideful), we shut off valuable info to get that good, "high status, ego" feeling. By being humble instead of prideful, the amount of info we get drastically goes up. We're able to acknowledge things in ourselves. We're able to ask for help despite it being embarrassing. This help leads to actual improvement instead of stagnation. Pride is a short-term gain. Humility is a long-term, sustaining thing.

That 3rd point opened my eyes. There have been times when I give advice to others, but i know i dont do it. This is a lot less now, but still being aware of it is an excellent start in terms of me improving that issue.

Yep, humility is key. Being able to find a tribe or people that can keep you accountable as a very important step anyone can take to make sure that the develop necessary skills.
