Hatice and Ibrahim failed to see that their war with Hurrem was based only on the fact that Ibrahim felt some ridiculous loyalty to Mahidevran and her son instead of being like Switzerland where Suleiman's relationships and children were concerned. Mahidevran used both Hatice and Ibrahim in her war with Hurrem and they allowed her to do it... Hurrem was attacked since day 1 and not the other way around.

They would not even be married if it were not for Hurrem. Hatice would have been married off to another pasha she had no feelings for (remember, she was widowed before marrying Ibrahim). Their first baby would not have lived past birth if not for Hurrem (though Hatice ended up accidentally killing him through negligence).

Actually Ibrahim was not loyal to mahidrevan and mustafa. He's loyal to money and power only .... He saw the opportunity of making himself and family richer because he could manupilate the mother and son but Hureem was a more intelligent, smarter and astute person. She's not do easily manupilated and now after becoming the official queen, she's the eyes of Suleyman ... he and hatice were just greedy and power hungry just like mahidrevan and valide sultan. With hureem as the queen if the sultanate stealing money from the treasury wasn't do easy as hureem was very protective of her children and Suleyman, hence the Sultanate .... hureem could see through their their ploys and plots and whatever going on in the palace as well as outside. Shea real queen not like mahidrevan and son ... it's all about themselves even on the valide's last few moments on earth ..... mother and son were so selfish and self-centered. That's why mahidrevan ended up alone and without anything i.e. poor.
